Thrilled with this. So easy to use and make a difference
I love this. Having done a fair amount of research this came up the best of the bunch within my budget. It was so simple to set up and I certainly noticed a difference within a couple of days. I live near a buy road and have a neighbour underneath who smokes in the room underneath my bedroom so this is giving me both peace of mind and helping with horrible smells from the smoke. It appears to be quite sensitive, though less so if the tobacco smoke is milder, and will kick in mostly as expected if left on auto. It will even kick in if I am showering and using fragranced products and haven't closed the bathroom door (and my bathroom is down the hall from my bedroom). Looking at the app, I can see it turns on at various points during the day when the levels of pollutants in my room go above normal even if I haven't noticed anything.Very happy I bought this, even if I wish the 'Auto' mode was a little more sensitive to tobacco smoke. I have now bought a Mini-max one for elsewhere as I love the Max so much!

Very good air purifier
I recently bought the Blueair Blue Max 3250i for my lounge area. I unit itself was a bit bigger than i expected but i have and open plan lounge/stairway so it is good for covering the entire area. I find it is working really well at keeping the air inside my house clean. It works well at getting rid of cooking smells. I was making breakfast one morning and i overdid the bacon which left the downstairs area smelling quite strong. Almost immediately the unit sensed the change in the air. The little light turned from blue to red and the fan kickind it on high, starting to clear the room of the strong cooking smell. Sometimes when i grill bacon the smell can linger most of the morning but about 20 -30 minutes of the unit doing it's job and the light turned back to blue and you could hardly smell any odours lingering at all. I'm glad i purchased this air purifier as it also seems to keep the polen at bay in the summer months much to the releif of my son who suffers from allergies. Will be buying the smaller Blueair purifier for my bedroom soon as this one does a fantastic job downstairs.

Protection against Body Spray and Frying in the Kitchen
When the other half goes wild with the deodorant spray, the air sensors detect a massive spike in PM2.5 (tiny airborne particles that we cannot see). The little LED indicator light instantly turns red to warn us the air is dirty, and the machine kicks itself into high gear. The real test happens when I bring this machine near the kitchen. If we are frying up food using a pan or running the air fryer, this machine goes nuts. It doesn't just catch dust; it captures heavy grease particles, smoke, and cooking smells. Watching it ramp up to full speed the second the oil starts popping really shows you just how important proper ventilation is when you're cooking, and how much invisible junk normally hangs around in your house.Because this is the "i" smart model, it connects to your phone via Wi-Fi through the Blueair app. This gives you live graph tracking of PM2.5 levels, and you can actually watch the pollution spike when you use the air fryer, then watch it drop back down as the machine cleans the air. With the app, you can switch between Auto, Night Mode, or manual fan speeds right from your sofa. You can also set the purifier to automatically ramp up right around the time you get ready in the morning or start cooking dinner, and tell it to dim down into Night Mode when it's bedtime. When it comes to pros and cons, the whisper-quiet Night Mode is fantastic. It drops down to a virtually silent 18 dB and dims the bright control lights completely, making sleeping at night incredibly pleasant. The washable fabric pre-filter sleeve is another massive plus because it catches heavy dust and hair before it clogs the inside, and you can just vacuum it or throw it in the washing machine to save money. The only real downside is that if you forget to turn on Night Mode via the app or the machine panel, the LED air quality light on top is fairly bright it can easily illuminate a pitch-black room. You can reduce the brightness via the app to 0% which will keep it operating without any lights, but there is a chance you can forget its switched on!For the filter lifecycle, you don't have to guess when it's time for a replacement. The app tells you the exact remaining filter life percentage, and a dedicated indicator light on top of the unit will turn solid red when it's officially time for a fresh one.The purifier gives us peace of mind but wish I had more than one!

Amazing Air Purifier - but no way to judge or detect VOCs?
Pros:- Arrived already set up and good to go- Easy to set up with the Blueair app and Alexa- Definitely helped with PM2.5 and VOC, I can see faster reductions on my separate air quality monitors- Noticeable reduction in dust and odour- Great connectivity with Alexa, voice commands to change fan speed / on & off work brilliantly- Lightweight despite size, so portable enough to move to different rooms when needed (we move regularly to where we are in the house)- Nice modern design and looks good- Simple and effective app which shows a graph of PM2.5 over time (weekly, daily, hourly) and how long it will take until you’ll have clean air (ie. 5 minutes at level 3 fan speed)- 3 fan speeds with adjustability even between them in the app, plus an auto (only operates when it detects something) and night mode (quiet and un noticeable). I would only describe level 3 fan speed as loud, 1 and 2 are very quiet operationally.- Has seemingly helped air quality in other nearby rooms from what I can see on my air quality monitors- The app even lets you adjust the brightness of the LEDs on top of the purifier- The app shows 0-100% how much of your air filter’s life you’ve used. After about 2 weeks of high usage in multiple rooms and high fan speeds I had about 96% still to go, with a 2% drop off each week. Pretty good!Cons:- Despite claiming to help with VOCs there is no indication of a VOC sensor or way to see a graph in the app of how much there is in the air. It only shows PM2.5. So I can’t tell if it detects VOCs, only that it removes them when it’s operating. A real shame when the PM2.5 graph is great to see it’s working effectively, you’ll need a separate smart air quality monitor for VOCs if you care about them but you could easily set up a routine with Alexa to trigger the Blueair. Conclusion: A fantastic air purifier, quiet, effective, great connectivity with an easy set-up but it doesn’t appear to detect or at least provide stats for VOCs in air.

Good purifier
Whisper quiet at night . Works well at clearing the air. Light enough to move around the house. Easy to clean and change the filter. Outer cover is hand washable.

Easy to use
Arrived well packaged. Very easy to set up, even installing app was so straightforward.I have put this in my living room near doorway which is permanently open and set it on auto mode. Immediately it’s saying that air quality is great with a blue light showing. It’s very quiet and do not notice any noise at all. The next day I bought a bouquet of flowers which I put in living room, immediately the purifier started working light turned green meaning that air quality was now down to good and fan started as well, noticeable but not loud, after about 20 minutes all returned to normal blue light and silence.Extra information, it does blow out cool air, found by accident in app settings that there is a slightly warmer mode perfect for winter.Have noticed that getting replacement filters might be an issue as most places are sold out currently, however they do last 6/9 months.UpdateHave now used this a few days and have noticed that when I have my wax burner on it immediately goes to red light and fan starts, noise is noticeable but not intrusive, after about 30 minutes unit returnsto blue.

So far, best one ive tried.
So far so good!!, I have air purifiers from other manufacturers in the house and have had noise problems with most of them either out of the box or after a period of use. I have one that squeaks, another that rattles and another that has just ben returned because the fan noise was simply to high. So far this one is the quietest and the nicest to use. The app is nice and easy to use and has lots of options for the fan speed which is good. I also like the way it looks in the living room, looks a lot less harsh than the others with it having the cloth cover.

BROKE AFTER A VERY SHORT TIME - FAN MADE A BIG NOISE AND WOULD NOT WORK AFER THAT THAT.
So upset about this air purifier. Worked fine for a short time and I really was happy with it. Then I switched it on to night mode, as usual, last night and the fan started making a massive grinding noise. I turned it off and back on again and the noise continued. Left it off until tonight and tried again, no noise this time but simply not working, the light comes on and when I try to move the fan mode the whole area lights up as opposed to No. 3 that I wanted and nothing happens. In fairness I might have just got a faulty one and I have returned no problem but still very disappointing as I really wanted a good air purifier and I did take note of the reviews on here. Main reason I bought this one was because it was the only one that listed getting rid of mold.

Impossible to find the replacement filter
Bought this item thinking it would be easy to use it and change the filters. Very disappointed, 9 months later, I cannot find any replacement filter. The machine is not usable any more. Don’t recommend

Do not buy if you are in Italy - it comes with a UK plug.
Do not buy if you are in Italy - it comes with a UK plug. Customer service knows this. They should not be shipping to Italy.

Doesn’t eliminate any smell
It doesn’t detect any smell in the room and consequently doesn’t turn on in automatic mode.Update after 6 months: it completely stopped working and there’s no warranty.
