Good quality pillow
I am a side sleeper. I sleep with one arm under my head, so pillow is always between my angled up, folded arm and my large head.I hate hot pillows. I hate hot sleeping. I want to be cool. I will use cooling pillow cases (helps not trap heat).I like medium firm pillows with some "give". I prefer to have one pillow of semi firmness that I use to support some of my head and a little bit of shoulder, then have another pillow that is more malleable to be under my face and rest of side of head. Kind of scrunched.my shoulder tends to ache at some point, and my arm usually falls alseep.OK, so HOW does THIS pillow fit in?I use it as my top pillow. It DOES NOT TRAP HEAT, and it has a weird cloud like feel that always ALWAYS makes me go "ahhhhh", even as I flip over in the night. There is a weird level of comfort that this pillow provides. What is this sorcery?Downside-ish is that is IS soft. Lofty, but my head drops down into it a bit and the sides go up, especially if my arm isnt underneath it. But when my arm is underneath it.. mmm perfection. It is COMFORTABLE (to me). I dont use in while on my back reading or watching tv, or playing solitaire on my phone before sleep. I need a firmer pillow. But when I roll over to get into sleep position, it is like this gorgeous level of comfort. It just feels so nice.My shoulder doesnt ache as much, and my arm doesnt fall asleep as often. That all being said, this is not a FOREVER pillow. I do have to swap out after a period of time. It will eventually lose that cloud feel and just become a regular pillow. But it’s fine for several months easily. This is my second set, all mine. With the first set, I kept one and my husband used one. He may still be using his. I bought this current set recently on a whim. I forgot how blissful the pillow can be (I am not sure what happened to my pillow, perhaps my dog stole it), and am very happy to have a fresh one to use right now, and a spare for another point in time.I at least know that I LIKE this pillow, and even if I am buying it every year or so, it is better than trying out all sorts of other pillows and hating them. This may be something you love, or it may be the worst pillow ever. But it has good stitching, cleans up easily, does not trap heat like some pillows. So I think quality is there. As for rest (comfort, support) that will be up to your perception and your body and sleep style. So far so good.I will buy more for my parents.

awesome
I wasn’t sure what to expect with this neck pillow, but after a couple of weeks of use, I can honestly say it’s one of the best sleep purchases I’ve made in a while.I have chronic neck stiffness and tend to wake up with shoulder tension no matter how I sleep—side, back, even occasionally stomach. This pillow took some getting used to (as they warned), but after the initial adjustment period, I noticed I was waking up with significantly less tightness in my neck and shoulders. Not magically “pain vanished,” but real, noticeable improvement. What I like most is the shape—it’s not your standard contour pillow. The butterfly design and the hollow center actually cradle your head in a way that feels really stable but still comfortable. I also appreciated the extra armrest space as a side sleeper—it sounds like a small thing, but it made a big difference in how relaxed my shoulders felt. The adjustable height is a huge plus. I tried both sides and ended up removing the insert to get the height just right for me. You don’t need to buy a whole new pillow if it feels off—just tweak it a bit.One thing I’ll mention: if you're looking for a super soft, sink-in pillow, this might not be it. It’s supportive and a bit firm, which I personally like (especially for neck alignment), but it’s definitely designed more for structure than plushness. All in all, it’s well-made, customizable, and actually helps with alignment. If you're dealing with neck or shoulder pain, it’s worth trying—just give your body a little time to adjust.

ACTUALLY *IS* the best and only option I've found (so far) that doesn't cause cervical pain!
***As close as I can find to my perfect solution***after trying 5 different pillows similar to this general shape. My 35 yr old temperpedic memory foam pillow needed to be replaced. I've tried >10 pillows with a 2 being tolerable, and 7 being excruciating neck-breakers that after a week caused severe disabling pain throughout the days when I previously did not have any. I had no idea how unique that pillow was and it's take a loooong anything process to find another suitable pillow that will work. I hate feeling so specific and dependent on a pillow. I seem to be ok with whatever a few days, but more than that and my sleep quality, duration and discomfort the following days will suffer. So THIS (and only this) pillow absolutely DID alleviate my rotten cumulative neck pain. That said, it's unnecessarily annoying in other ways:•The arm wings are extraneous and offer nothing anotomically supportive.•The width of the pillow makes it difficult to squeeze into a pillow case which then compresses and this compromises the function of the foam.•The hight at the back could have been done with the width of a standard pillow case's dimensions in mind.•It's ugly. I really don't want to look at the goofy shape splat white and gray shape on my bed and I don't want to have to take the entire pillow off the bed to find a place for it away from the cat or dog when I make the bed reach and every morning. Considering aesthetics, it's a fail. _(And it just doesn't have to be!)_The only thing that makes this pillow differently successful is the low height in the head bowl, the lower cervical support edge and the ability to remove about an inch of foam from the back of the head bowl area. The high back side is way too high for a healthy cervical spine to sleep on all night unless the person has an unaddressed severely pronated cervical spine (as many of us do from crappy forward flexed postural demands from life driving/computing/texting/assembling/etc.) —Can you tell I'm a manual therapist?—The only thing the high side *might* be good for is reading *before* sleep.Other than that- I've given up on funding THE pillow and will settle for modifying this one in the following ways:•Taking an electric turkey knife to trim the "fat" off the foam— remove the arm wings, and shave about an inch of the length of the back side.• Mark when my ears lie, and punch 2 string threads through both of the higher sides of the head bowl for side-sleeping, and add buttons to pinch that area down toward the bottom. I'd love to use snaps if I can find they correct type.• Resew the inner liner and case to accommodate the end result.I'll update with pics when it's done and report whether the mods actually improved or missed the mark.
