Sharp and good quality.
These scribes are very good. They are small and light and work well. Seem to be well made. The points are ground to a very sharp point and easily scribe steel and glass. The magnet is slightly weak, but strong enough for my uses.

Very fine-pointed; lightweight body somewhat awkward
Two holders and 14 carbide tips seems to be a good deal for this price. The point is very fine. Great for marking a line, but terrible for writing. Be aware.I'm not thrilled with the aluminum holder. The lightweight body with the relatively heavy carbide tip and magnet at the far ends make the weight distribution odd in the hand, but that's not really a huge deal. I'm also not really sure of the point of the magnet, but whatever.

Great for scribing.
The media could not be loaded. I bought these for scribing steel. They’re easy have a nice design, seem to be of great quality, are the perfect size to use and store where a normal pen would fit, they function as both a metal scribe and glass cutter, and are light weight.I highly recommend these for glass and metal workers. They’ll come in handy.

Very hard, sharp point.
This looks an ordinary scribe, it is NOT. It easily scribes glass. I bought it as the first tool to begin attempting to do scrimshaw. Bone & other materials will easily scribed.

Excellent Quality
These Tungsten Carbide Scribers appear to be very well made. Each came with a protective vinyl cap over the pre-installed scriber tip. Don't throw that tip away! This is a definite plus to help prevent the tip from damaging anything while it is being stored, or while clipped to your pocket. The scriber tips are firmly held in the handle by a collet, so no worries about the tip falling out. Just unscrew and remove the shroud (collet nut) surrounding the tip and pull the tip straight out of the collet to replace the tip, or store the tip away. The collet has a slight friction fit already, so the scribe tip may not come out easily. If so, you may need to hold the side of the scribe shaft just above the collet and gently twist or very slightly "wiggle" it and it will come out much easier. Brute force is not needed as you will damage the collet. The packaging has some general tips on how to use the scriber for cutting glass or scribing lines in metal, etc. It is nice to know that holding the scriber at a 45 degree angle while in use will generally provide the best results. I can see some people struggling to figure that out on their own, so that is an added plus. The 4 extra scriber points are packaged in a separate "baggie", so be careful not to throw them away with the packaging, and store them in a place where you won't forget putting them. <GRIN> I now keep them in a small plastic box, and store them along with the rest of these scribers and my other glass cutters.I am happy with my purchase, and expect to get a lot of use out of them.

Works good… until the tip falls out.
I’m always losing my scribe, so I figured a whole pocketful would be the answer. These work great for scribing steel, but the tips come loose and fall out easily — seems impossible to tighten them enough to retain the tips. I guess OK for the price, but I think a couple of better quality scribes is a better buy than a pocketful of scribes that don’t have tips.
