I put 1/2” galvanized pipe over my sink to hang my pots and pans, but was struggling to find the right kind of hooks to use. I wanted hooks with one end rotated 90 degrees from the other so my pans could nest Russian doll style. I found that the selection of such offset hooks was small, expensive, and just not what I was looking for. I decided to grab a pack of these S-hooks because they are inexpensive, claim to be rated for ~30 lbs, and they looked thin enough that I could twist them 90 degrees. These turned out to be exactly what I needed, and I’m extremely happy with them. If you have strong hands, you may be able to bend these by hand. Or you can easily use an adjustable pliers to bend them, but note that the hooks are coated and the pliers jaws can mar the finish. I used the pliers to twist the hooks. I used my fingers to slightly open the small end of the hook to fit over the 1/2” pipe, and the pliers to close the end over the pipe. I also used my fingers to open the large end of the hook to make it easier to place and remove pans. These do not struggle at all to handle my heaviest cast iron pots and pans. As you can see in the picture, it’s holding a 12” skillet as well as a 5qt Dutch oven. These are cast iron and each weigh around 20lbs, and the hooks don’t bend at all under that weight. 5/5 stars. I had my doubts, but these hooks are perfect for my needs, and I highly recommend them for hanging pots and pans.

Great pack of hooks, can be used for multiple tasks. I use them for hanging my bird feeders. Seem to be strong. Great price.

Nifty little hooks easy to use work very well they’re versatile. The hook size is great if you use it for an extension cord or hang something on the big shelf they are sturdy. I really love them.

I bought these hooks to use with macrame plant hangers I was making. I use the hooks over our curtain rods and they work perfectly. They can also be used outdoor to hang plants, wind chimes, and other decor. Perfect hooks at a decent price.

I have a pot holder in my kitchen and these are the right size to hold everything nicely. they are not quiet as heavy as I thought they would be, but they work fine. If you have some left over, you can use them for hanging plants.

I use these S Hooks for everything. You can hang brooms, mops, pots, pans, lanterns, bungee cords, etc. The possibilities are endless.
