Our door is older. It’s a perfect fit. I backed the screws out the current sliding handle/lock, then used the new screws to attach the new handle over the current lock. I hope that made sense. We had zero problems as of today. I’ll update if it breaks or becomes janky. It’s made opening and shutting our door so much easier. No more bruised fingertips or torn fingernails!!If your lock is good, there’s no need to purchase the handle with lock. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great *by on Reviewed in the United States 1 September 2024* Just what I needed for sliding glass patio door. Easy to install. Great value for money. Good weight and excellent quality.
