The screen is exposed except for a small border that keeps the SP4 in the case. There should be room for the screen protector there. Hope this helps. **Q: There is a tab that sticks out on the corner, what does it do and does it come off?** A: The tab is used for holding the keyboard closed. The magnetic lock in place of the keyboard is hindered slightly by the case so this is their solution. No it does not come off - It is useful and really not a hindrance. It is on elastic so it moves out of the way easily. **Q: I read no access to SD card, can you still leave one in and put the case on?** A: Yes the card would be underneath the case. **Q: does the cobalt case match the blue or bright blue type cover?** A: Unsure. I got the black type cover with the cobalt blue case.
