Greenest Lawn on the Block
Provides a nice green color when soaks into ground. A bag covers my front and back lawns. Best lawn on the block. Good value and easier to have delivered to my door. Saves having to carry myself from store. Scott is a great product and use all their fertilizers.

The grass got greener... as for the turf builder part, the jury is still out. I haven't seen evidence of it yet.

Well worth the price.
This fertilizer is excellent. This brought my grass to life in late fall and even as winter has started and it is 25 degrees outside, the grass is still bright green and not growing wild. Absolutely amazing.

Potassium is good grass in the spring and the fall!!
I bought this bag in September of 2025 and put some of it down in the fall. I gambled this spring and put a generous amount down and it turned out to be the best thing I could have done. My grass is more beautiful than I've ever seen it. I'm in the process of mixing it with weed killer and get rid of the few weeds that I have in my next application!!

A Must-Have for a Lush Lawn!
I can't say enough good things about Scotts Turf Builder WinterGuard Fall Lawn Fertilizer. After using it for the first time last fall, my lawn came back in the spring looking healthier and greener than ever before. This stuff really works to nourish the grass roots and prepare them for the harsh winter months. It was easy to spread and the coverage area was perfect for my yard size. My lawn looks incredibly thick and vibrant, and I'm convinced this is the reason. If you want a beautiful lawn next spring, this is the fertilizer you need to put down in the fall.

No Proof That It Actually Works
This bag covers 12,000 square feet but my lawn is 14,000. Every autumn two thousand feet goes untreated and to be honest come spring time and summer I don't see any difference between the treated and untreated areas. I continue to apply it because I'm told it's important. I just don't see the proof.

Application was smooth, easy and a no-brainer.
I applied this product towards the end of October, 2025. I will add to this review in the spring of 2026 two let readers know how it worked. In terms of the application, I used a long spreader with the recommended settings. No issues with the amount being dispersed or the quality of the granular.
