Perfect for my mini 3. Doesn’t affect flight performance at all in my testing. Does help to keep the motor away from grass, dirt or anything you wouldn’t want damaging the drone. It may take away a slight bit of battery life but that’s expected, but for me I haven’t noticed anything significant to the battery life. I’d say it was a quality purchase.

First my drone perfectly.

This landing gear extension is a useful accessory for improving ground clearance on the DJI Mini 3 and Mini 3 Pro. The added height helps keep the drone body and camera away from dirt, grass, and uneven surfaces during takeoff and landing. The foldable design is convenient, allowing it to stay attached without adding much bulk during transport. Installation is quick and straightforward, with a secure fit that doesn’t interfere with normal operation or balance. In use, it provides a more stable landing stance and reduces the risk of debris contacting sensitive components. It’s especially helpful when flying in outdoor environments where flat, clean surfaces aren’t always available. Build quality is lightweight but adequate for its purpose. It doesn’t add significant weight, which is important for maintaining flight performance, while still feeling durable enough for regular use. Overall, this is a practical add-on that enhances protection and usability without complicating setup or affecting flight behavior.

This is a must have for the Mini 3 and more cost effective than using a landing pad. Also, a landing pad takes up space where this folds down and easily stores in the side pocket of the small case that came with the drone. As others have mentioned, it must be removed to change out the battery but I don't find that to be a nuisance. It is lightweight, easy to snap into place, and keeps my drone at a clearance enough to warrant the purchase. The plastic isn't heavy and flexes slightly so is light enough that it doesn't affect the drone flight or battery usage in normal conditions.

I’ve had this drone for almost 4 years now and it’s built tough. I’ve hit maybe 15 trees, and it’s still working. It’s fallen from 40ft high up and still up in running. Best investment. So fun and easy to fly, good quality images & durable
