I have 4 installed in a wake tower that is paired with a 800 watt amp and they sound amazing for the price. I can wake surf and hear every song clearly. The only downside is if someone is close to the speakers they will hurt your eardrums as they can get very loud like piercing loud. They have help up in direct sun light now for 2 years.

Put them in my boat and like them

I am running these in a SXS in fiberglass kick pod enclosures on about 100 watts and the sound output is very surprising! I specifically chose these for water resistance and the high sensitivity. The wiring may confuse you if you haven’t ever had a speaker like this since the tweeter has its own connection separate from the woofer. If you run the tweeter parallel with the woofers terminals you may find the tweeters output to be a little high, that’s where the included resistor comes into play. Wire the resistor into the tweeter and it will slightly reduce the tweeters output for a little better balance. You could also run the tweeter off of its own channel, especially if you are using some type of DSP, it would work best.

Using 8 of them in a 28’ Tritoon. Also using the Recoil 1200.4 amp. I have 4 sets wired in 2ohm configuration getting roughly 100 watts RMS each at full volume so the amp is hardly breaking a sweat, but still gets hot to the touch for some reason. I haven’t installed the Subs yet so I’m sending a full frequency range to these for the time being. They sound great and get plenty loud without distortion. Obviously the lack in the bass department but that not what these are designed for. These are designed for LOUD. When the subs are in I’ll set the hpf to 120 and turn the wattage up to around 140 watts each at my set max volume. If these 8 speakers were cut off at like 280-300Hz they would be absolute screamers! I’m impressed for the money for sure. Lost the 5th star because they decided to use a tiny ass spade lead for the negative terminal for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON AT ALL.

Grate quality and sound. 100% need an amplifier for them.

Recoil is a awesome brand, everyone thinks there cheap because they sell their lower level cheap stuff online at different stores, but all there series are the truth, from the lowest to the very top, recoil is impressive

I replaced the DS18 pro speakers that I had in my motorcycle. The best in your face speakers for the money. Beats DS18, RF and Kicker! I have 10 speakers and 2 amps on my bike. These are heard above the others. I'll be getting more.

Great quality and build to these speakers, fairly heavy which gives some nice bass to the door speakers now, amazing price for it all, they replaced my 6.5" factory door speakers nd fit perfect with no issues, super easy to configure with jumpers from the tweeter to the speaker coil, amazing dual functions for tweeter and speaker makes it nicer to listen to music

After the break in period, I played them loud and didn’t hear any distortion or over-excursion noise, great performers for the price per pair. Some assembly required, I didn’t get any instruction about the inline tweeter resister but works fine without it.

They sound like $85 dollar speakers, no comparison to my cheap alpine 6.5's terrible speaker.
