Very satisfied. Mostly used as a smoker.
3rd purchase of this grill/smoker over 20 years of so. About a 10 years until too rusted out to use. But . . we abused ours. We use it with wood. Not recommended due to the very high temps produced by the wood fire. The grill was usually left uncovered & rain activated the acids in leftover wood ash. Treat it nicely (cover from rain & don't burn wood) & it could last years longer.

Good design works well
The smoker/ firebox has been working great and so has the grill . This is not as heavy duty as some of the other side by side smoker/ BBQ grills but being 100 lbs lighter really makes moving it a lot easier . Putting it together was not a big deal all the hardware came in a sealed wrap so all the nuts bolts washers and pins needed for assembly where present. So far I am completely satisfied with this purchase . I know it wonโt last 25 years like my last one but hopefully it last a few if I keep it clean and dry .

Poor quality
Do not buy, this grill is complete garbage! I bought this to replace a 6-year-old Char-Griller and the quality is nothing like it used to be. Alignment of the smoke box mounting holes to the grill body is atrocious! Every bolt had to be loose on it and the legs to shift things around to get holes to align. There is a complete lack of washers, some of the bolts pull through slotted holes. Avoid this grill at all costs! Paint is thin in some areas. I'll be lucky if this lasts for one season. I would give zero stars if I could.

Quality has decreased.
Still a decent grill but not the grill I first purchased twenty years ago. I had to take the hammer to several areas to make things fit. The grates are much thinner and because of the warped metal of the barrel, the grates barely fit over grill. I had a hammer for ten minutes to get it so the grates would stay up on both sides. I am looking for some longer grates because I worry they will fall into the grill.

It sure does add the smoked!
After using an offset smoker for maybe 20 years, I thought I would move to a pellet smoker after losing my eyesight. I knew I could just use an app and keep an eye on temperatures and it would be much easier to control, but I was unaware what I was missing moving away from a stick smoker. After about seven years of doing everything I could to get all the smoke I could and the meat I decided to go back this smoker seemed like a pretty good bang for the buck so I latched on. Now I can say it was pretty easy to put together even for a blind guy and I would also like to say Iโm not a big fan of the upper heating rack. I would sure like it if a company just made a rack that you could sit on the top and easily remove this rack. Seems like it sits awful low. I would sure love to be able to get a couple more sides of ribs on a top rack so Iโve got my brother welding me one up right now that I can just put in and takeoff without having to unscrew or finagle the one that is included. That is the main drawback for this smoker for me. The rates are very heavy duty. They donโt seem to fit real well, so after my brother is finished welding up my rack Iโm gonna have them welded a couple of extra support braces across the smoker to make sure the racks donโt fall in while they probably wonโt. Iโd much rather not have to worry about it especially being blind. I canโt see if I push one way too far forward. So whenever I put the heat to it to kind of seal the inside of the smoker and the great the charcoal burned all the way down, which is another thing. I am a big fan of I do like the charcoal great in the large part of the box. If I ever do decide to grill, it will definitely be a plus also being able to slide the ashes out on the hot box side is something Iโm a huge fan of. Over the last week Iโve been using smoke tubes and running all my excess pellets in just getting a nice thick layer of smoke put in this thing and yesterday I put on the first brisket with a box full of pecan and mulberry. It pulled the smoke right through and added so much flavor that I have been missing all these years. At the end of the day, this is a great smoker for the price. You can put a great smoke ring on your meat and Iโm sure if I ever choose to grill on it I could put all the hamburgers or all the steaks on it. I would 100% suggested just be aware that that warming rack is kind of funky.

And inexpensive start to offset smoking
For the money this little smoker, grill is away for most people that want to get into smoking meat inexpensively. I've been playing with mine and so far it's producing great. A highly recommend at least three burn-offs of at least 500ยฐ. Before you ever cook anything it smells toxic burning It off. After 3 Hot ๐ฅ.... I seasoned the hood with bacon grease. Seems like we are becoming good friends I love smoking meats.

Great Charcoal Grill!
Very nice heavy duty grill. Letโs me light coals in the right hand chamber and make smote which smokes the meat in the big left-hand chamber without excess heat going going into the cooking chamber.

Great bbq, worth every penny!
Fantastic bbq, I got it about a month ago and have not been disappointed with it. I have been careful to season it to avoid rust and purchased the cover as well to ensure longevity. Great for smoking and general bbqโing, been smoking now for about a decade. Glad to have this char griller amongst my culinary arsenal!

It's ok for starters
Not bad for an entry level rigg I guess..the chimney stack is too short, the main lid is warped, smoke leaks out everywhere, and grease leaks out of the other end of the grease trap.

Smoker
Needed to seal many spots so the smoke did not leak out. But it is a nice full size smoker
