Perfect for a shop and dust collection
This automatic vacuum switch has moved my dust collection efforts for my shop, table saw, miter saw to a whole new level. Works perfectly, kicks the vacuum on once I hit the trigger on my equipment, easy to connect, and takes several steps out of your woodworking efforts to help reduce dust and keep your shop clean. After heavy use it still works perfectly in both the auto setting and manual.

Works perfectly — keeps the shop cleaner and safer
This Ortis automatic vacuum switch is a game changer in my workshop. I have it connected to my shop vac and table saw, and it automatically starts the vacuum a second after I power up the tool — then shuts it off a few seconds after I’m done. No more forgetting to turn on the vac or tripping breakers from both running at once. The delay timing is spot on, and it handles my 15-amp saw without issue. It’s simple to set up — just plug in your tool and vacuum, and you’re good to go. The housing feels sturdy, and it hasn’t overheated or tripped once. Tip: Mount it somewhere easy to reach if you switch tools often. It saves time and keeps dust under control. Overall, a small upgrade that makes a big difference. Keeps the air cleaner, saves wear on my vac, and makes the whole setup feel more professional.

Works perfectly, and the time delays are just right.
I salvaged a "whole house" canister vacuum from a neighbor's junk pile and converted it for sawdust collection by adding a cyclone separator & bucket upstream. It does a great job of capturing most of the sawdust from my table saw. This switch is the icing on my cake and really makes everything simple. When I power up the saw, the vacuum starts 1 second later (to minimize power surges), and the 7-second delay on shutdown is timed perfectly to the coast of the saw. I initially thought the single short power cord might be an issue, but it has worked well for me. I have a 10-ft 12 AWG extension cord on a 20A breaker and have zero problems with overloads. Given the specs on my motors, I think a 15A circuit would do as well. Highly recommended!

Time saving, easy to use
Works great; saves time! It seems like it wouldn’t make a big difference, but having your vacuum on automatic mode is a game changer. There’s a one second delay from starting your power tool before the vacuum turns on to prevent surging the circuit. The seven second delay after might be a little long, but definitely helps clear the hose of any residual dust. You can also have 2 tools plugged in at the same time, helpful if going back and forth between say a router and sander.

Perfecto!
Works as Advertised! Auto turns on when the tool is on then vacuum sucks it all up! :)

Didn't quite work for my application....
I moved my router table setup from the garage to my basement. I have everything connected to a Kreg router table paddle switch with two outlets that turns on the router and the shopvac dust collection at the same time. First time I fired up the combo in my basement it tripped the 15amp breaker. Figuring there was too much amp draw when both power tools started up It looked like a delay vacumn switch was in order. The Ortis automatic vacumn switch looked like a good choice, it even has 2 outlets for multiple tools, so less potential power tool plug switching. Since the router power switch is under the table and inconvienent to get to I orginally bought the Kreg 2 outlet switch which I fastened to the front of the router table which facilitated turning on the router and dust collection at the same time, in the garage with a 20amp circut there were no issues. The problem with the ortis switch is that when connected to power, both of the lower plugs are always hot, which means If I want to use the Ortis switch as designed ( vacumn delay on&off) then I have to reach under the router table and turn off the router or else pull the router plug out of the Ortis switch when I'm done routing which is a hassle.....or I plug the Kreg switch into the main power and then plug the router 𝙖𝙣𝙙 the ortis switch into the Kreg switch. This technique works well to turn on the the router and the delayed shopvac via the ortis switch but negates the Ortis's delay off feature since the Kreg switch cuts off the power to the Ortis switch. A fix for all this might possibly be a remote switch but then there's more money to shell out.

Works Like a Charm – A Must-Have for the Workshop!
I picked up the Ortis Automatic Vacuum Switch to streamline my shop setup, and I couldn’t be happier. It automatically turns on my shop vac when I power up my tools (like my miter saw or sander), and then turns it off a few seconds after the tool shuts down. It’s one of those little upgrades that makes a big difference. Setup was super easy—just plug in your tool and vacuum, and you're good to go. The delay is just right: it gives enough time to clear the dust without keeping the vac running forever. The build quality feels solid, and I appreciate that it can handle higher power tools without any issues. Now I don’t have to remember to switch the vacuum on and off every time—it’s automatic, clean, and efficient. If you're doing any kind of woodworking or garage work with dust collection, this is a no-brainer. Totally worth it!

Great addition to my shop
The cord is only about 10" long. I have had no problems. The dust collector starts about 1 second after the tool and stays on for a few seconds after the tool shuts down. Two tools can be plugged in at the same time.

Se pierde menos tiempo conectando hasta 2 herramientas independiente a la aspiradora.
Excelente producto, lo he utilizado con Sierra de mesa, router, canteadora y obviamente con la aspiradora. Y todo bien excelente accesorio para el taller.

Almost Perfect
I wish I had bought this switch sooner. It has made my woodworking much easier. I used to manually turn my shop vac on and off while cutting with my power saws. This switch automates the shop vac, turning it on and off for me. I save so much time not having to worry about the shop vac. Best of all, it removes the mental task of operating the shop vac, allowing me to focus on making cuts. I even consider this a safety device. The only minor issue is that the switch comes with a rather short power cord (about 16 inches). In my case, I have to plug it into an extension cord.

Worth the money
One of the best things I've bought for my shop. Works well and saves me so much time in turning on and shutting off my vaccum cleaner.
