Decent book
I have no complaints about the quality or shipping, but the title is a bit misleading… you will have a better understanding of Japanese text, however you will not be speaking it from these books alone unless you already have an excellent foundation in the language.

Very helpful for intermediate students
He does a good job organizing the material. However, only non beginners can get through the lessons outlined in his book.

Well structured lessons
I got both volumes - I won't learn everything in 90 days BUT I will learn to read and write Japanese properly - which is my goal

Perfect for intermediate-beginner learner
This is perfect for people who already know katakana-hiragana and are looking for step 2, 200 pages (this is the second book though)

Almost everything you need to know ... and then some
I've waiting for this volume for quite a while. I got the first book a year ago and I couldn't be more satisfied. This is a 20% book that will give you 80% of the basics of Japanese without any fluff and in a very practical way.Highly recommended.

Another 90 clear and useful daily lessons to work through to improve your Japanese
This book continues on from the very useful Volume One and covers the rest of the grammar in the JLPT N4, all the grammar in the JLPT N3 and a bit of the grammar from the JLPT N2. The lesson points are made in kana and kanji and the romaji has been dropped from this book as it's an intermediate text and learners should be used to the kana by now. Having both the kana and kanji in each example sentence is useful and helps make some unfamiliar kanji more familiar. This text also contains a number of readings so the learner can practice their reading although the author writes that at this stage we also need to be looking for extra things to read to improve our Japanese. This book also has a comprehensive side panel index as well as a clickable table of contents which really helps move around the content easily. All in all this is a very useful book and I hope the author puts out a further one to cover the rest of JLPT N2 and JLPT N1.Highly recommended.

Nice, fast-paced book
This book provided full information, but requires frequent practice nd memorization. Might be a little fast paced for beginners. Lessons are organized well. Volume one and free flashcards in the series recommended for studying.

This really didn't work well for my son.
This might be OK for someone in conjunction with a tutor. My son's tutor recommends a different book.
