ZENY 53-Inch Bird Cage, Wrought Iron Flight Birdcage, White

I am very pleased with this cage! It was a definite upgrade in size for my bird, so I think she's extremely happy in her new home! Once we had it put together its a great sturdy cage on wheels. I do wish the wheels had a brake or lock to keep it from rolling too much, but thats ok. It comes with 2 long perches that go all the way across, but I ordered more natural perches that vary in size and shape. The large access door is very handy, but my toddler figured out how to open it within a few minutes, so I may have to find something to secure it so she doesn't harass the bird too much. The food cups sit behind the little doors, which I think will deter my bird from messing with the doors and slamming them like she used to. She's a bit skittish, so to get our bird successfully transferred we set the assembled empty cage right next to the old one for about a day. While we slowly started moving her favorite things into it, we set a new toy and snack on top of the new cage, and gave her time to get curious enough to climb on top to check it out. We made sure she had her favorite nesting spot (a hollow coconut) to feel safe in, and then officially transferred her. It wasn't long at all before she was happily exploring and playing! Assembly was not super hard, but also a pain. It was simple enough because it was just a handful of screws and nuts, and it even comes with a handy little screwdriver. Some of the instructions were straightforward, but we ran into a wall of confusion, that derailed our work for quite some time, when we thought we were missing pieces! Turns out the instructions sheet was wrong! I'll include photos in case you get the same set of instructions I did: It says that there are 2 of Part #8, but there was only 1! Which makes sense because the stand that the cage sits on only had 1 shelf. Also when you look at Part #10, it may help to understand that the little loops are pointed in different directions. The top loops point straight up and they help secure the cage sitting on top of it. The bottom of this piece also has loops, but they are pointed sideways. The shelf piece sits on top of these. In the instructions diagram #1, don't forget the 2 small bars at the bottom (part #7), those hold up the tray! On diagram #2, some of the pieces are drawn wrong so it's confusing to look at. But I think if you go by the part numbers, you'll get it right. I hope this helps!

Don't expect it to be perfect, its a cheap cage! Some bars are a bit bent, the holes took some finessing to line up right, but its great. My only complaint is about the 4 sliding food bowl doors on the front of the cage- there is nothing stopping them from being opened by a bird! I zip-tied them shut, and will be using different bowls lol

Definitely on the pricey side, but worth it. Perfect size for my cockatiel, fits her toys, 8 perches, and food bowls with room to spare.

Assembled it in 2 days by myself (I'm no mechanical genius and my family is too busy to help), even with the crappy pictures and wordless instructions. (Seriously, I know it's just a bird cage, but some written instructions would've been appreciated.) For whatever reason, my instructions were stained with something brown. So gross. I handled them carefully and wiped the paper down with cleaning fluid. The cage itself was clean all over until I started man handling it on the rug to put it together. Had the same cage for 17 years of owning our first cockatiel (a bird that found us. Noisy but loving.) Noticed it was getting rusted and finally bit the bullet and got this massive cage. Also, the 9 month old kitten was looking into the old cage a lot, and this one is so tall, (but she's a tiny baby), she can barely see inside. Hoping it'll fare just as good once she fills out. Anyway, Rogue, (the bird), seems happy. He easily found the taller rung and made himself at home, no longer seeming bothered by the cat. You could probably fit at least two cockatiels in this cage or a slightly larger bird, but I don't think it's quite big enough for something like a McCaw or cockatoo. I pray it isn't actually made with lead, because that's 103 bucks down the drain (s/h, taxes included for the price), but people will write anything for attention. As for my title, it's 4 am. I'm not gonna be serious at this hour. Last thoughts: I adore that it has wheels on it! Our old cage was stand alone and I had to carry it out if I wanted the bird to have fresh air. The wheels had to be hammered in, but it's fine. We happen to have a cement ramp at the front door, so it'll be great to take Rogue out safely. It's also a wide cage, probably two feet, so that's good. 4 slots for food/water is a bit excessive if you only have one bird, but I'm going to use the extra slots to take him out for fly time, (He has a bird diaper he hates, so he's hard to catch in the cage.) The extra food cups will be saved for when the originals wear out. The most trouble I had when building the cage was trying to put the base together. Your brain wants the slots with the railing to go across longways, but they fit on the upside down U-shaped parts sideways. I ended up with 4 extra screws, I hope they are just extra and not important. I took off one star because of the instructions and how they came.

Received cage 1 day early. Nothing was loose or moving around in the package when I received it. It came in a relatively small package and once opened the cage inside had plastic zip ties holding several parts of the cage together and some thin bubble wrap separating some of the pieces. I had it together in about 15 minutes. There are NO assembly directions other than a piece of paper with some pictures of the cage on it. You will need a Phillips head screwdriver and an 8mm wrench. There are 2 sizes of screws (small and large). The smaller screws are for the cage. The larger screws are for the base. DO NOT tighten screws until all pieces are assembled. There are 2 bars that support the plastic drip tray. The bars attach to the base with 2 smaller screws. The casters were very easy to put on and the whole cage slides around on them like an egg on a well oiled pan. The cage had no bent bars, no missing bars,no loose bars and it fit together perfectly. No wobbles, no gaps. The only flaw I could see would be the 4 smaller feeder doors which did feel weak-I think anything bigger than a parakeet would be able to move them up and escape. I don't plan to use them so I will zip tie them shut. The main door is nice,sturdy and swings open all the way. The lock is a little strange-again, good for small birds but I think a parrot would be able to figure out how to open the door in a short time. I shopped my local pet stores for a large bird cage and saw some that were selling for $150-$200 and they looked and felt flimsier than this one and were in fact even smaller. This is a great cage. Great value for the money. You and your birds will be pleasantly surprised.

My likes and dislikes of this cage. Likes first 1. The cage is big and roomy but only for the smaller types of birds such as parakeet, lovebirds ,finches ect. 2. It has a slide out tray and makes cleaning 10,000 times easier. 3. multiple places for the food bowls (so if you want you can have pellets in one bowl and fruits/veggies in the other) Now for the DiSlikEs 1. And this may have not happened to everyone who bought the cage but when i was building the stand i noticed that the side holes did not match up, which meant that i could not screw the side and length pieces together but i came up with the idea to zip tie them which did work but if your planning to buy this cage for a larger bird (which i do not recommend) then you have to assume this might happen to you as well and that the stand might not be able to withstand the weight of your bird and collapse. yikes! dangerous! so keep that in mind. 2. the cage is sort of flimsy so again do not recommend for larger birds! 3. this dislike has nothing to do with the cage itself but the instructions they were terrible did not explain a thing! Overall, i really like this cage i would recommend for you to buy it the build is quite elegant and yet classy. I myself was really worried and nervous when buying it but i'm very happy i did and i think you just have to take a leap of faith but its different for everyone. You should read the other reviews and come to a decision after weighing the pros and cons and i wish you luck!!! ( it took me about and hour to build by myself so not to bad?)

I put this together alone in under 30 mins and was not rushing. It didn’t come with tools but I’ve purchased enough things that have come with a wrench and screw driver. Seems sturdy, standard powder coated bird cage sturdy. Bars are thick enough to support all things budgie sized. Rolls very easily, super easy to move from room to room. Good amount of storage under for baby birb things. I am super pleased and would buy again.

I got this cage back in 2020 as a first time bird owner. I highly recommend it, we actually bought a second one to keep at my moms for when I travel and leave him there! It’s sturdy, decent size, and easy to put together (considering it’s a cage 🤷‍♂️). It did come with no instructions, but it’s pretty easy to see which parts go where! It took me about 30-45 minutes. My 3 year old cockatiel has been in it his whole life and nothing is wrong with it at all! The only thing I would say is not to go with a bigger bird than a cockatiel. I’m about to upgrade to a larger flight cage as he’s not so little anymore and I find that his tail bumps into things often. This is a 10/10 perfect cage for a parakeet or smaller bird, but definitely works for a cockatiel too! I tossed the plastic bowls, they harbor bacteria anyways. My cockatiel has never figured out how to open the sliding doors on the side that was meant for the bowls to sit, I find them convenient for me because I can easily open them to toss a treat in and I don’t have to open the door. Highly recommend this cage for little birds, beginner owners, or people with limited space!

I am happy with the quality. Better than some this price for sure. Tons of room for my parrotlets & breeding box. Easily put together myself just by following enclosed directions

This cage is such an amazing size for my birds! Its he and they have plenty of room to move around and fly! I definitely recommend! All though It was a little difficult to put together but we figured it out quickly!

I can't say much on how easy it is to clean yet, as we're letting our birds get accustomed to its presence, and we're saving up for some new toys and perches before we move them in. I will update this review once we've transfered them over. So, the cage itself is fairly sturdy, though the plastic tray had a few cracks in it. Nothing a bit of electrical tape couldn't fix! Still, I felt it was important to mention if that's a concern for anyone. The package came with a handy little screwdriver which was very useful, and the cage was fairly easy to assemble. The package was missing one nut, but until we can go out and buy a replacement, the cage is still very sturdy without it. Overall, I'd say it's a good cage for the price we got it for. As a pro-tip, I'd recommend any bird owners look into replacing the dowel perches and plastic dishes that came with the cage with natural wood perches (which are better for their feet and provide more chewing material), and stainless dishes (which are easier to clean and less likely to breed bacteria) - It's nice that the cage came with some starter dishes/perches, though!

Nice enough cage for the price but arrived with 3 out of 4 plastic food dishes cracked and a few of the metal pieces bent. I was able to bend the metal back but the cracks in the food dishes are disappointing. The bottom plastic tray was also a bit dented. My birds seem happy.
