I enjoyed the taste of the wood eat mushrooms. I used to make Chinese Hot and Sour soup. Couldn’t find here in Maine so I ordered them through Amazon. There was a large amount in the package. So much so that I didn’t use them all. Seeing as how they are dehydrated, I just resealed them in another bag and saving them for the next time. Only problem I had was rehydrating them. I may not have gotten my water hot enough. But know what to expect next time.

Its good for Asian cooking like making soups or side dishes. But find the size too small for the price. Received it wi the discounted review for product review. Will not buy again

These mushrooms are NOT SHREDDED as shown in the photo. They come whole and are huge when reconstituted. They were pretty flavorless as well. Next time I would opt up for a more expensive brand, this may be a case of you get what you pay for.

I don't know Shiitake about mushrooms (joke) ha ha but what they sent me isn't what I ordered. I ordered Dried Wood ear mushrooms 2 ounce and got Dried Morel Mushrooms 1 Ounce. Maybe they don't know Shiitake about mushrooms either. :) On the order here you can see what the Dried Wood ear mushrooms should look like and below is a picture of what I got. I know mistakes happen. I didn't open it yet. I will contact them. UPDATE: The company contacted me and sent me the correct mushrooms and they taste really good. I'm going to try it in Miso Soup soon. They do need to be re-hydrated and that easy to do. I like keeping dehydrated mushrooms on hand because you have them when you need them and they dehydrate so easy. Great product and company service. Can be rehydrate quickly in microwave oven in a couple of minutes that’s what I do with the Woodear as well as with the Shiitake dry mushrooms. Quick & Easy. No! I didn’t get the product at a discount or free.
