Exceeded my expectations, excellent purchase
First, the product was very well packaged, and also very well protected in a case. Very pleasantly surprised by the number of connectors, which didn’t appear in the original advertising. It came ahead of schedule , and the driver went above and beyond: I have used several of these tools, usually on the lower end, which generally required more testing to verify or disprove results. This tool gives comprehensive reports, and goes into flattest detail in evaluating the condition of your vehicle. Definitely a pro level scanner. It is noteworthy as to how solid this unit actually is. I would definitely say solid and well built. The screen is extremely clear, and the tool is very intuitive , well thought ought, and it is both logical and easy to use. I purchased a protection plan with it , as I would highly recommend as well, just because of what it is and the environments it is used in. It has already paid for a quarter of itself , and is extremely valuable if you are going to do the work yourself, or want to know what you are getting into before you bring it some place to have the work done: the only negative that I have observed is the length of time it takes to update: I love the wireless feature, as well as having a wired option, either way it works very well. It also prints reports , which are extremely detailed. The battery life is excellent on the unit. While I personally won’t use it very often, as opposed to a shop, I will be using it frequently . I would highly recommend this unit. While I am new to Launch, I suspect this version is far superior to most of their other models. I would love to see them come out with an IOS version to bring on road trips. The bidirectional functionality is excellent. It is noteworthy that the unit and port connector work together perfectly. I have not experienced any lag time. I found the reviews praising this unit to be accurate and reliable. Of course time will tell the long term reliability, and update potential, but I believe, at this point, that this is the next best level of technology, and it will be upgradable.highly recommended.

Great Value. Perfect Size.
Let me start by pointing out that I have access to a Snap-On Zeus and a Mac Tools scanner, both of which cost 5-10 times the price of this one. I still find myself going to this one most of the time. I haven’t found a situation in which this one hasn’t met my needs. I particularly enjoy the size of it. Sure big screens are great, but most of the time a smaller tablet is much easier to handle. When the thing arrived I was truly shocked at the size of the box. I didn’t realize that it came with a whole second case of pre-OBDII adapters. I don’t believe our Snap-On unit even supports this. The user interface is pretty simple to understand. The ability to use Chrome to access our shop software is a great plus. This tablet has started following me everywhere. The other thing I noticed is that I seem to have a software update every couple of days with new features for different makes and models being added. And if you’re in the automotive industry you will know how big of a deal this is, but you get TWO YEARS of updates. The Snap-On and Mac units give you one and the next year is more than the cost of this scanner. Is it perfect? No product is. For example I wish it had a stand on the back that I could use to hang it from a steering wheel. And the case is well made and protective, but it makes you disconnect the cable from the vehicle adapter every time. I feel like that’s just gonna wear out the connection over time. I cut out the foam to accommodate the cable, but this should have been done from the factory. But if you don’t use the case, which most people probably won’t, then it’s a non-issue. Overall I am extremely happy with this scanner and am really looking forward to pairing it with some of the other tools such as a battery tester and oscilloscope.

Worked where others failed!
2006 e90. I tried bimmergeeks, Ista and others and could not reset services or actually see the balance. I was going to replace parts due to the other scanners not giving good info ie for not being able to reset eng oil and vanos system. Don’t get me wrong they are good at checking a code and light coding in English but not for actual servicing the vehicle. Most advanced features are in German. I replace the top end and needed to reset services and relearn all modules/engine electronics. The launch relearn features for the engine I have not tried yet but I’m impressed. The options are plenty; relearn tons of componets valve adjustment, live compression readings, smog battery voltage, accurate sensor readings, idle adjustment with limitation of -50 to +150, a ton of options. I’m impressed because like the throttle app shows live readings for any sensor. This launch scanner also lets you accuate anything without the engine running. I also recalibrated the passenger the seat sensor. I’m moving next to redo what the other scanners failed to do. I wanted to make sure I didn’t brick my ecu and drop the dme link I did with the other software. The other software did recover it in fairness but the backup and restore functions don’t work, the launch does work. Now that I have confidence I’ll complete the rest of the adaptations. For transparency the other softwares did attempt to reset but not the same as I had a shop with a scan tool could. It’s a shame to change a top end and have ok software. Really excited about this scanner. The only things I don’t like about launch are the trim levels are hard to understand. Did not auto read vin but I could scan barcode on the drivers door. Also wasn’t sure if I needed the immo to program keys and the tire sensor to program the tire sensors. This one a a big screen and feels like a tank. It’s pretty heavy can stand on any side but not built in kickstand. So if this works well on my BMW the I have zero concerns for my Chevy. If I haven’t edited this review you rest assure I didn’t throw it at the wall and ask for a return.

High quality tool for a low price
I've had quite a few scanners and I found this one to do all my others couldn't. It wouldn't scan all the modules in my car but I have a police car so that's understandable. It does work on all my other vehicles and it's actually fast. I like the numerous vehicle options it has and even comes with the different connecting cables needed. You can virtually figure out the codes all with one unit due to the internet compatability. I'm very pleased with the purchase.

Sweet scanner for the price
I’ve been looking at a new scanner. Something that works on 2025 vehicles and before. My old scanner needed an update and I figured it would be better to get a now one. The launch pro dyno hasn’t disappointed. It boots twice as fast as my old one and is wireless to the obd. This is nice as the built in camera is super handy for pictures of the vin plate and general engine bay shots or whatever you’re working on. My one gripe is the naming system of all the different scanners. I researched for weeks and never got a clear idea of what scanner does what exactly. I had a vague idea of what I wanted and finally ordered the x431 pro dyno. working great so far.

This scan tool rocks!
We recently purchased the Launch scan tool because we wanted a budget friendly option next to a $7,000 Matco scanner that the tool truck guy was really pushing us to buy. We demoed the Matco unit for a few days and we were not impressed. However after using this Launch scan tool for a few weeks now, we are extremely happy with the tool. It’s allowed us to perform ABS diagnostics on the new Jeep JL Wrangler platform when the Matco unit wouldn’t even connect to the Jeeps. It’s allowed us to do full master code resets and clear out stored codes that the other scanner wouldn’t. This little unit has saved us numerous times when the big expensive tool truck models wouldn’t do what we needed them to. We also own a Snap On Versus Edge and now all our techs are preferring to use this scan tool because the user interface is easier to use. The menus make more sense and it’s faster. We give the Launch Scan Tool 5 stars for effectiveness, value and ease of use.

Excellent ODB scanner
This ODB scanner is easy to use and helped me identify an issue with my wheel speed sensor. I had a problem with intermittent ABS error on an old BMW. I used the graph function and identified an issue with one of the wheel sensors. I had an entry-level job scanner for many years and decided to invest in a more expansive ODB scanner to see the difference. The unit is fast and was able to read my car health report much faster than my old scanner. This is worth my purchase and saves me money to take the car to an auto mechanic.
