Perfect for Herbal Teas, Hair Rinses, and Spritzes
I purchased this infuser to help make herbal hair teas and spritzes, and it works perfectly for my needs. The mesh is fine enough to filter out all the herbs from the water, leaving a smooth, clean infusion without any bits floating around. Sometimes I simply fill it with my herbs, place it in hot water, and let it steep. It does the job beautifully with very little effort. I also appreciate how convenient and mess-free it is. Instead of having to strain the liquid afterward, everything stays contained in the infuser, making cleanup quick and easy. The stainless-steel construction feels sturdy and durable, and the lid helps keep the herbs submerged while steeping. Overall, this is an excellent product for anyone making herbal teas, hair rinses, spritzes, or other botanical infusions. It is simple, effective, and saves a lot of time.

Must have for routine tea drinker
This tea infuser/strainer is perfect. It fits into a standard mug but is big enough to give the tea room to really expand/blossom and release all the great flavors. The silicone lid is perfect for helping maintain temperature for ideal steeping conditions. The mesh is solid thick metal, rather than a screen and doesnโt bend of damage during use, but the holes are fine enough that tea stays contained in the strainer without leaking. The silicone handles support the strainer while remaining cool to touch to. O. Ruby finders, and the lid offers a perfect drip tray to set the strainer on while you enjoy your tea, leaving the strainer ready for a second steep with no mess. It is easy to use and designed by some one who knows the importance of a perfect cup of tea.

I heartily recommend. Have bought multiple over the years
I have used this product for years and can heartily recommend it to anyone who drinks loose leaf tea or tisanses. It's excellent value for the money and I have bought multiple over the years to keep in different locations (home, work, etc.). As for the construction, the mesh is thinner but rigid and strong. I've never stress tested it, but one doesn't need to stress test a tea strainer. I've traveled with it in bags that had heavier things and it's always stayed the same. The hole sizes are small enough that tea leaves won't get through. You may have the littlest bit of powdered tea leaf get through, but that's expected with any metal strainer. There are lots of holes, including at the bottom of the strainer, so you wont have any trouble with slow brewing. As for the lid, it works well. I don't use it as much, but i do appreciate the silicone part that keeps it on tight. The silicone handles are great for protecting your hands from getting burned when you take strainer out after brewing. A note on cleaning: You can put this in the dishwasher if needed, I have before, but i wouldn't do it much. This isn't due to anything structural, but the flavor soap imparts. If you dishwash or hand wash it with soap, i would recommend rinsing it for a while after. How I usually clean the strainer: Once I dump the used tea leaves, I rinse out the excess in the sink. After this, I pour boiling water in and over it, then let it dry on a towel. All the tea leaves usually come out, but if any ever get stuck in a hole, you can get it out with your fingernail or a toothpick.

Good Quality, Giftable, but be cautious of SHARP edges of the disc when taken apart for cleaning
Five stars for quality (, and as described in all areas. But, something is important that isn't clear until you try to wash it. I was taking it apart to run through the dishwasher before the first use. And it looked sharp so I had to be really careful putting the silicone back on the metal disc. (I will hand wash after all because kids are in the house) I asked alexa ai here at amazon about it - just in case I was mistaken. I didn't want to test it... lol no time to get cut and deal with all that... so, this is what Alexa AI for shopping said: "The metal disc inside the silicone lid appears to be a standard component with edges that can be sharp. Some customers have mentioned that when disassembling the lid, they found metal parts inside. One review specifically mentions an injury: a customer reported cutting themselves on the inside metal when first pressing the lid into the base. โขKeep it away from young children who might take it apart or touch that internal metal component โขFor elderly users: The lid itself (with its silicone rim) is designed to be easy to lift and use โ multiple customers with arthritis praise how simple it is. However, if they're taking it apart to wash, they should be aware of the sharp metal interior and handle it with care." I'll keep it and I will be using it every day but, will hand wash and put away out of reach of children in-between so it isn't a safety hazard. That said, I gave this five stars because it is amazing! Great value for the money, closes snug to keep steam inside, is fine mesh design so minimizing leakage of tea fibers. I do a mix, that varies in each cup, so filtration also varies with ingredients. Keeping loosely packed, helps with filtration, and keeps water and steam movement maximized.

Great product!
Great to use for loose leaf tea! Fits perfectly in my mug and no residue left in the bottom! So easy to use and rinses clean. I had been using an infuser ball until it quit closing tightly. This product is so much better.

Does a good job
A good product and is off a good size to hold more than enough leaves, flowers, etc. In addition, the strainer has kept out a considerable about of leaf/flower material as the holes are pretty small. It has not rusted to date, but I wash it soon after I use it and put it to dry. The only thing is that the two rubber heat protector pads slid off the handles after a few washes as water got under them. I have since removed the rubber pads and use the strainer without them. Even though the tea is hot, I have not gotten burnt without using the pads.

Great Tea-Strainer with Top
Love this tea strainer for loose-leaf tea or a tea bag. Fits well in a cup without wobbling (unlike the previous strainer I returned). The top fits well and keeps tea warm. Very easy to use and mess-free. Very stable.

I really like this infuser...
It's a nice infuser and I'm pleased with it. First off, I really appreciate the workmanship, no sharp edges inside or out, nice and smooth, looks well constructed overall. The holes are tiny and work well. The silicone handle covers give you a good grip and protect from heat. I really like the baskets cylinder shape as opposed to others that have a more tapered basket, because the straight sides make it less likely to tip over and much easier to clean. So far, I've brewed a couple of herbal teas and leaf teas that were problematic about leaking sediment in my previous infuser. With the Ohtomber infuser, teas all tasted great, the tea was clear, and had no almost no sediment, just a bit of ground cinnamon escaped. I suspect extremely fine matcha or powdered teas would escape, but I don't drink those so no issue. So, overall I really like it, and it does a great job infusing, but here are a couple of things I feel might improve the product. I wish that the non screen components were made of slightly heavier stainless, which would give it a heavier and sturdier feel. I especially would like for the silicone on the drip tray to be bonded to the disc instead of slipping onto it like a removable cover. I already see that with normal use, moisture is getting under the silicone and could grow mold or bacteria if its not fully taken apart cleaned, and allowed to dry thoroughly after each use. That process takes a bit of time. The silicone is thin, and I'm not sure how many times it can be taken on and off before it tears or stretches. Both are small issues, and don't change the fact that it's a good product, just suggestions for improvement.

Good quality
Works very well. Nicely made with multiple micro spot welds on the seam - the cheap ones only have three welds and are weaker. The size is generous but not too big (I found the oxo good grip one too big for medium cups). And the tea tastes much better with loose leaves! Highly recommended.

Amazing!
Amazing for herbal tea, easy to use and easy to clean. Fits regular and larger mugs, could even be used with a small teapot! The capacity for loose tea/herbs is big so it would brew a large amount of water no problem. The lid is also very convenient and helps the tea steep faster
