I have only tried grating Parmesan cheese. It wasn’t very successful as it made the cheese a bit mushy.

Is this item fitted with a UK 3-pin plug?

No, ours didn’t. It comes with a two pin european plug, hence an adaptor plug is required and easily found. Worthwhile as this machine is absolutely wonderful, we use it a lot! Thoroughly recommended!
