Mothca Matte Privacy Screen Protector for iPhone 15 Pro Max, Full Coverage

I spend a lot of time on my phone in public spaces (commuting, coffee shops, etc.), and this Mothca matte privacy screen protector has given me so much peace of mind. The privacy filter works brilliantly – from any angle beyond about 30 degrees, the screen just looks dark and unreadable. Yet when I'm looking at it straight on, everything is perfectly clear. The matte finish is another huge win. No more glaring reflections under office lights or sunlight – my eyes feel so much less strained after long scrolling sessions. And the texture? It's incredibly smooth to swipe and type on, almost like paper. It feels far better than glossy glass protectors, and fingerprints are virtually invisible. No more constant wiping! Installation was straightforward thanks to the included alignment frame and cleaning kit – no bubbles, no dust, perfectly centered on the first try. It's also surprisingly tough; I've dropped my phone twice (face down) and the protector took the hit while my actual screen stayed flawless. The oleophobic coating works well too. If you value privacy, hate glare, and want a silky-smooth typing experience, this Mothca protector is an absolute steal. Five stars – highly recommended for anyone with an iPhone 14 Pro!

I didn't fit a screen protector from new under the assumption it would probably get dropped and broken anyway, with AppleCare replacing it. However, with only a month remaining on the policy, I'd been regretting this approach, as the screen looked awful as it was covered in scratches, some of which you could feel with a fingernail. This protector has made them all completely disappear and the iPhone looks almost new again. It was easy to fit and I have no bubbles. The screen now has a nice silky feel to it too. One review mentions it's made of plastic. It isn't, it's tempered glass. I'm ordering a couple more to keep the phone going for another couple of years before seeing how the fold phone develops.

Found it scratched quite easily against metal like my wallet. But I’d rather have those scratches on a protector than my phone . Plus the scratches don’t hinder the privacy. Overall though it’s actually survived longer than my previous protectors and I love that it’s matte. Applicator was also cool. Just wish it wasn’t made out of plastic.

Worst screen protector I’ve ever bought. I made the mistake of ordering this twice. The first time, it cracked incredibly quickly after very little use. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and ordered the exact same one again, thinking maybe I had just been unlucky. Big mistake. The second one cracked just as fast, even though my phone has a durable protective case. It barely fell, yet the screen protector shattered almost immediately. It’s extremely flimsy and offers very little real protection. I’m really disappointed and wish I’d read the reviews before wasting my money twice. Do not buy this. Spend a little more and get a higher-quality, more durable screen protector instead.

This product is exactly as it was advertised, fits easy enough with no bubbles. Privacy feature works a treat and matte feel is nice and smooth. No issues with touch sensitivity or face recognition. The only issue at the moment, which could become a big issue depending on how I find the next couple of days. The screen protector makes your phone image a little grainy/fuzzy. Almost like you can’t quite focus on what you’re looking at. It’s only been fitted for a few hours now and I’m still thinking I can learn to ignore this but we will see how I feel after a few days. Update - almost 2 years since this review and I’m still using these screen protectors. Had a few drops where the protector has taken the brunt and saved my screen. I’ve purchased this item 4 times as think it’s great

Easy to apply and privacy level is great!

Very good quality screen - the matte is great to the touch, and it’s actually thick rather than a flimsy film - but the screen coverage is not great. Light bleeds out from all sides of the screen. Privacy is great, I won’t knock it, but it’s not 360 degrees - you can still v clearly see the screen if you’re looking above or below it at any angle, so I wouldn’t say the fit is great. Bubble-free? Sure. Did it take me about 5 attempts to get it right despite reading the manual and watching a video? Yes. Not very easy to install! However, I have paid more than double this price for another more inferior quality screen protector, so I would say it’s decent value for money as long as you don’t expect the world!

The look and feel of the Mothca matte screen protector are amazing. The matte texture gives the screen a premium, silky finish and completely prevents fingerprints — no smudges at all, which I really like. Unfortunately, the durability just isn’t there. After even a small drop, the edges crack very easily, and those cracks spread quickly across the screen. It’s frustrating, especially when scrolling or swiping near the edges, because you can feel the cracks under your fingers. I’ve purchased this screen protector several times now, hoping for better luck, but the same issue happens every time. Because of that, I won’t be buying this brand again since it’s a waste of money.

I have had Mothca privacy screen protector for 6 months now and it has held up really well. I drop my phone quite a bit so it has a few broken dents on the sides (photo). I have always had a screen protector and this one is one of the best, if not the best. Although it has broken edges, it hasn’t broken across the screen entirely, as it can happen with some screen protectors even the first time the phone falls. It also has almost no scratches. This shows it is made of quality glass, I am very pleased. The screen is smooth and matte. Included was this small cleaning cloth which does its job really well, I suggest to everyone to keep it for later use (not just use it when installing the screen protector). I am buying another one.
