The Fuel Zone Guard Base was so easy and fast to setup. It took longer to take the items out of their packaging than to setup the entire base! Once everything is out, setup will literally took less than a minute. After twisting to turn on the base, it took a few moments to warm up, but you could see the base working. We had no issue with mosquitoes or other flying insects. This is SO much easier than dealing with lighting torches. This will be so nice to use the rest of the summer and into the fall. Can’t wait to use again and again.

Be aware, the manufacturer has cheapened the product by NO LONGER SUPPLYING THE WEATHERPROOF CAP. The device is the same and works fine but now you can't leave it out on the deck. Photo shows my old orange one and the new blue one with the extra old orange cap I saved from the one I tossed. It still fits but looks like crap. Honestly, what could this cap cost? A few pennies saved for the maker, a constant pain for the user.

I was actually pretty impressed with how fast this started working and how much it helped keep the mosquitoes away around the patio. It was easy to set up, and we definately noticed fewer bugs after a short time. It works well for just hanging outside at dusk without getting eaten alive. The only real downside is that the replacement refills are kind of pricey and can get expensive if you use it a lot. Overall though, I'm happy with it and would still recommend it for outdoor use.

I really enjoyed using the Thermacell insect repeller in my yard this spring. I find the device to be very effective, and each pad usually lasts long enough for most evenings we spend outside. It doesn't provide a huge coverage but is just right for a large dinner table. I also like that it has minimal smell and doesn't require spraying anything or having more heat. My only downside is that it is somewhat annoying to have to purchase refills, but it is still pretty cost-effective and worth the price. Overall, I would highly recommend this for insect control.

I am generally a mosquito magnet. If I go out for even less than 5 minutes, I will get multiple bites. This repellent effectively allowed me to be outdoors in shorts and I didn't get any bites. This is amazing! It does take a few minutes to warm up, so you need to prepare in advance, but it is worth the wait. I also tried just putting it up to a group of mosquitoes revolving around a light and they all flew away. Definitely recommend this product.

It seems like nothing really stops mosquitoes, but this works surprisingly well! The radius is correct, there is not a strong scent, these are easy to pack and refills are available. One downfall is the refill kits are more expensive than I anticipated. This comes with everything you need in the box .

I read many reviews and most loved this, however, unless you put on a floor (lowest level) it's not that affective. Turn on at least 15 minutes before use. The blue pad you insert is definitely completely used "within one hour" therefore this product can get quite expensive if you need to refill more often than expected. In addition it does not handle a 15' Zone, actually much smaller of an area. My husband and I were sitting at a table on our lanai across from each other and the distance is only less than 5' so we kept having to move it and finally we had to sit side by side to have some favorable results. I will try it again to see IF it works better the next time. It does help somewhat although not nearly as much as many have claimed. Hopefully next time it's better...

I bought this because my dad has them for when we go to the lake in Oklahoma. He uses them in the Denver area other times and overall they seem to repel well. We usually put two out to get full coverage. However. I live in the mountains, about 2000ft higher than Denver and it would not work at that altitude. I don’t know what altitude it stops at exactly but it works at 5000 feet and doesn’t at 7200. Could be I got a messed up cartridge but I also think it’s likely the altitude is messing things up. Just be aware!
