Amazing quality โ highly recommend!
Iโve tried a few different fish oil supplements, but this Icelandic wild-caught cod liver oil really stands out. The quality is excellent, and you can tell itโs sourced from clean, cold waters. The softgels are easy to swallow and, best of all, no fishy aftertaste or burps, which is a huge plus for me. Iโve been taking it daily and have already noticed improvements in my overall energy and joint comfort. I also like that it contains natural omega-3s (EPA & DHA) plus vitamins A and D, so it feels like a complete supplement for heart, brain, and immune support. Overall, this is a great product if youโre looking for a high-quality, wild-caught cod liver oil. Definitely worth it โ Iโll be buying again!

White Bean & Cod Liver Dip is Yummy!
So far, so good. Received my 12-pack a day early, and I had already purchased organic parsley and processed it for my first taste of ICAN Wild-Caught Cod Liver in: White Bean and Cod Liver Dip 2 garlic cloves half a cup of parsley half a lemon one large onion carmelized one can of cannellini beans drained and rinsed one can cod liver salt and pepper Doubled up on parsley, lemon juice, and garlic for me recipe - it makes two servings. Here is my meal, and it stands as one of the grandest meals I have ever eaten! In recent history. My mom and aunt were amazing cooks! Here is the nutritional content of ยฝ the recipe, above: One serv = half 507 cal 32 g fat 389 mg sod 39 g carb 9 g fiber 16 g protein 5.2 mg iron 30 g net carb

Gourmet, delicate taste
Loved it. As some reviews mentioned, if you like patte, this is top of the line gourmet food with loaded omega3, I love the taste.

First time trying, I love this stuff!
I have never eaten cod liver before. I intentionally didn't smell it once I opened it. I tasted a small chunk, it was delicious! Creamy, not gritty or rubbery as I imagined. Now I have to figure out how to eat it; on its own, on crackers, mashed with lemon juice, the possibilities are endless...

Top-tier brand of Icelandic Cod Liver
Iโve done some research and these (iCan) are often considered a โtop-tierโ brand. In my opinion, this is the best cod liver I can find here on Amazon. Iโve never had any negative experiences with this brand regarding smell or taste. At the same time, cod liver is not for everyoneโs taste. However, Iโm into health, and for your omega 3โs (EPA & DHA) this will do the job! I consider this a truly heart healthy product. The only issue is, that I have this on my monthly โSubscribe & Saveโ and there can be issues with availability.โน๏ธ Iโll split a can into 2 separate servings as the (healthy) fat content is high (as with all cod liver). My simple recipe is: Cod liver Organic (non-enriched) white jasmine rice 1 whole lemon ***Do not drain the oil out. Itโs got tons of nutrients in it.***

Hard to eat but it's so yummy.
Even though it has been difficult for me to mentally eat these, they are really good. It has some oil in it but it is apparently just cod liver oil. That is supposed to be great for you.

One can makes a wonderful (no-work) dinner
December 6, 2021 (second update) -- I had another can for dinner today (plain on plain toast). I would like to point out that this is cold-weather food as it is a bit too oily to eat on a hot summer day. Also, if I am right in assuming that, over time and depending on the temperature, the ratio of oil to actual liver pieces changes, you may want to keep the cans in the refrigerator and take them out an hour or so before eating. Anyhow, I re-ordered another six cans yesterday, and another four cans of Sanniti today. That should take me through winter (with no cooking or 'preparing' at all since I eat it 'as is' and on plain toast). ---- I had tried another brand before. Based on the reviews, I decide to take the risk and ordered 12 cans. I had the first one for dinner tonight: two big cod livers on crackers. I never knew that cods had such large livers - more precisely, I never knew that cods would be so big as to have livers that size. Someone wrote that they were best eaten cold, so I opened the can in the afternoon and drained the oil (using a sieve with a paper towel folded in it). The oil may be "good for me", but I do not need the extra calories; it was the liver I wanted. This is something that I could eat every day, but I read somewhere that it is best to have it only once a week. I will have to check that. ----------- Additional information -- December 3rd, 2021 I ordered another six cans just a few days ago and they arrived today, so I have not eaten any of it yet. All six cans are marked on the side: PD: 15.06.2021 [which I assume means "Production Date: 15 June 2021"] BBF: 15.06.2026N [probably: Best Before: 15 June 2026 -- but I have no idea what the N stands for.] In other words, this is not an old product that some manufacturer/importer is trying to get rid of. It is freshly canned. How does it taste? I do not know yet. If I find anything bad about it, I will add it to this review; otherwise, bon appetit to all! Update - December 5, 2021 I opened a can this morning and emptied the contents in a sieve, on a folded paper towel. I meant to weigh the liver after it had drained, but was tempted to eat a piece because it looked so good. It was delicious, so I kept eating until there was nothing left. That will be my breakfast, I guess, and I will have a very light lunch. Two remarks though: (1) there was very little oil with the liver, which seems to confirm my opinion that the quantity of oil increases with the age of the can; (2) the liver was in big pieces, which held together, i.e. they were not 'falling apart' as was the case with some brands I tried two or three years ago. Conclusion: I am reordering. Note that many of the one-star reviews dated 2021 are for packages of 12 cans; ordering a smaller package might be the wise thing to do. You decide what is best for yourself.

SOOO good for you + tastes great !
Tastes great ! (not fishy) I like it so much; I have to restrain my self from gobbling up the whole can at once. (I like to use up the can over 2 or 3 days), Has all the NATURALLY OCCURING Vitamin D I need, Omega 3's in perfect balance, Iodine for thyroid function and EXCELLENT Vitamin A for eyesight. I'm a wellness coach and always recommend Cod Livers for a super healthy snack .. it is awesome on FinnCrisp or Wasa Sourdough Crackers !
