Gearlux Pineapple Ukulele Polyfoam Case - Black

Wanted a hard case for my pineapple soprano and found this at a more-than-reasonable price. This is a fully rigid case with padding and lining. It is not one of those soft foam cases, but formed and fully rigid (probably rigid styrofoam, maybe plastic, not wood, but that’s a guess because it is so light). Though I don’t know what the structure really is, there is a plush lining with foam under that lining and it is rigid form-fit with no give.See photos for interior measurements: 7” x 10” body cavity x 23” interior length. Total is at least 3” body depth with 2” deep on case body + 1” additional depth at lid + 7/8” form-fit concave bulge in the lid.Nice internal compartment and external zippered compartment. I also like that the strap can be unclipped and left at home or stored in one of the compartments if you don’t want it in the way and using just the carry handle - that’s a nice option.

Fits my Lanikai tenor uke perfectly. Lots of storage in the front pocket as well as the cubby inside. Very nice, durable fabric on the outside with the solid protection of a hard shell case on the interior. It zips open and closed but has a Velcro tab to secure it for quick closure even when unzipped, which seems very secure. Comes with the hard plastic carry handle and a detachable strap if you wish to carry over your shoulder. Overall I’d say this is a high quality case for a very reasonable price.

This is nice and sturdy from the exterior. The padding inside is soft but a bit thin; I wish there was a securement strap and/or my more plushed padding to keep my ukulele from rattling in the case. I ended up padding my uke with a folded cloth to help make it more wedged in place. There's good storage space inside the case to put a capo and tuner. I used the exterior pocket to put the carrier strap that came with the case -- you could also put in spare strings and other small/thin knick-knacks. I like the zipper features and velcro strap by the plastic carrier handle. It's functional but slightly too big or not as secure for my uke without some modifications.

Gearlux Soprano Ukulele Hardshell Case Recently bought one of these from Amazon Seller "Austin Bazaar". It's the equivalent of cases selling for 2-3 times the price. My uke fits perfectly in it. Compartment inside for picks and such, zipper pouch on the top, and a carrying strap. Construction is solid. Handle is heavy plastic sturdily mounted on heavy, screwed on, brackets. A heavy rubber anti-slip pad is mounted on the end of the case. This one is a no brainer if you need an inexpensive but sturdy protective case for your soprano uke.PS: The strap hooks are pure junk. Be prepared to buy a black nylon strap with decent hooks if you intend to use the shoulder strap.

I really liked this case for my baritone ukulele until after a short time the handle fell off while I was carrying it. The handle is held on with sheet metal screws which strip and fall out. Otherwise it is a great case. Uke fits well. It well padded and is substantial, almost like a hard case. I was really disappointed in it because of the handle. Unfortunately it is being returned and I am replacing it with a Crossrock.

I bought this case for my baritone ukulele. It is a little large but seems to be well-made and I like the storage pocket inside as well as the large zipper pocket outside. I think it will serve its purpose well--it feels very sturdy.

I have a lovely Hola concert ukulele, Although the gig bag that came with it is very nice, I wanted a hard case to protect it better. The Hola is 25 inches long. The first case I ordered was a concert case and it was way too small for the hola, I then ordered a tenor case and it was way too large, the uke wouldn't fit in either case. I had sort of given up on finding a case for my beautiful ukulele. Then, I found this case on amazon on sale and the dimensions seemed like they would work, and sure enough, just like Goldilocks, "this case was just right", All the zippers work and included a strap. Seems custom made for my uke. I'm glad the search for a sturdy case is finally over.
