You can't manage what you can't measure. If you need to keep your serum uric acid in check then you need a machine like this one.Whenever I've had my uric acid level measured at the doctor's surgery, I've taken a measurement using the Benecheck machine immediately beforehand or afterwards, and the results have always agreed to within two or three per cent. Given that uric acid levels fluctuate throughout the day, depending on what you've eaten and drunk and what medication you've taken, this machine and these test strips are more than accurate enough to know whether there's a change that you need to address with your doctor.

Vital to keep a check on uric acid with gout as you never get any feedback from GP after blood test. Can check if anything makes it high found that wine does not increase it which I thought it would which is great news.
