Perfect beginner drone
Found it on a flash sale and thought why not give it a try? I have zero drone experience before this. Pupped in a battery, read the manual and was flying in about a minute. Proceeded to crash it into a wall again and again trying to fly around the house letting my 7 year old drive it. Took it outside and got it stuck in a tree. Used it to chase rabbits around the yard. The camera isnt worth much, but that's not why I bought it. As a first step into drones this thing hits the mark and lets you scratch that itch to see if you like this sort of thing without a big upfront cost.

Easy to learn
My 84 year old friend mentioned that he wanted to fly a drone. I found this. Priced where if he crashed it, not too bad of a loss. Read the instructions, changed the batteries and took him to a small clear area in my neighborhood. Ran through the pairing and i stood by him and pressed the takeoff/landing button. All i had to do was to coach him to make flight changes by clicking on the controls and not holding them. The first battery he was able to fly a circle around where we were standing. The second battery and he was flying all on his own. Very nice little drone! We have not used the camera yet. I want him to get more practice flying it first.

Update!
In reference to my initial order, upon receiving it, I encountered an issue with my purchase. I promptly contacted the seller and explained the situation. To my astonishment, a replacement was swiftly delivered to my doorstep. My decision to engage in business with Sotaone has proven to be judicious, as they unequivocally stand by their product. Consequently, I wholeheartedly recommend their services to my associates and relatives. Once again, I express my gratitude to Sotaone for their exceptional customer service. Your team's dedication to excellence is truly commendable.

1st one was defective, and so was replacement.
I ordered this drone because it seemed simple and easy and at an affordable price to try out a drone, but the first one that they sent would not pair at all and the controller got stuck in a rapid chirping loop. So I asked for a replacement instead of a refund because I figured it was a fluke.Got the 2nd drone and set it all up again and turned the drone and controller on, but the power light on the controller wouldn't light up and it wasn't just the light because again the drone and controller wouldn't pair. Then while I was trying to look online to see if anyone had issues like this (could not find a website or even another non-Amazon review of this drone or even this company) I noticed that the back of the controller was getting extremely hot. And not just a little warm, but extremely hot.So I opened up the battery compartment to make sure the batteries were in correctly (they were) or if I could see any physical defects (there weren't), and by the time I pulled the offending hot battery out it tested as being nearly depleted (batteries were brand new out of a package). So then in case it was just a defective battery I tried another brand new battery and the same exact thing happened to it too.I gave this company two chances and they blew both of them, and now I either have to drive 5 miles to the nearest UPS store to drop both returns off or pay $8 EACH for pick up.I highly recommend not buying this drone, and maybe not even any other drones they might sell. Not only were these defective, but dangerous with the overheating battery issue.

Fun to play with, difficult to watch from
I enjoyed using it, but was never able to stream video from it.

Customer Service is Amazing
We had some trouble with our SOTAONE drone but Sotaone customer service was quick to help and get everything working perfectly. The app was easy to instal and setup, pictures and video worked as expected. A nice drone that is easy to fly and with wonderful customer care to back it up, what more could you want.

Meh
It's cheap and you get what you pay for in this instance. The unit, even when calibrated with the gyro calibration feature, will take off and immediately fly away with no input received, meaning it's fetch time. Then when it crashes, the drone flashes a red light and needs to be reset power-wise and re-paired with the controller every single time. I thought originally the battery was low and ran out super quick, as the manual says the red light will flash rapidly if the battery is low, but I soon discovered my mistake. Still, it's annoying to have to re-pair it to the controller every-single-time it crashes or makes a significant impact.Next, I don't know if it's just made out of super flimsy plastic or deliberately made like this to be lightweight, but the shell of it will "bubble" down with a moderate press to the frame. I discovered this on accident when trying to press the power button on top and not making direct contact. Also, the propeller guards I installed were crud, as upon the 1st impact, one of them snapped and broke on one of the arms, and the impact wasn't even from high up or anything. Cheap plastic! Then the thing needs "trimmed" constantly in flight to keep it vaguely steady in the air (didn't work really).Lastly, the thing gets pushed around super easily by even a tiny bit of a breeze. If you live in a place that virtually has no wind almost always or can access a place where it is blocked, such as indoors in a very large, open area (like an indoor basketball court inside a gym) or behind a place sheltered from the wind by lots of trees/buildings/etc. then this shouldn't be an issue for you. Sadly, I come from an area in the world (Texas Panhandle) where wind is a huge factor all the time and 99.9% of the time it's windy. It's extremely rare that there's a nice day with no wind. Ouch! time for you and your drone if this is the case.Batteries last a little while, but not very long. 2 batteries are provided but even so, you won't be at it very long.Haven't tested the camera + pairing feature yet, but I've heard that this feature is not so great. I look forward to that anticipated moment with much zeal and eagerness (robot voice: error, sarcasm detected).Buyer be aware of these drawbacks when considering whether or not to buy their own or not. It's cheap but you'll see it in the results.

Works great
I bought this for my grandson and he is having so much fun with it. Very easy setup. Easy to fly and the quality seems to be durable. The video quality is very good as well.
