S3003 100 Watts; G40 Globe E26 120 Volts Dimmable

I have a lamp in my living room that I absolutely love. It's a mid-century modern, mostly chrome, work of art. It has five light bulbs on it, various combinations of which can be turned on with the switch on the side. Its only detriment is that it uses these large, decorative light bulbs. When I first got the lamp, I thought that they were just large shades that fit over a normal bulb, but no, they are actually big, round (about the size of a softball) light bulbs. When one burns out, it's a chore to find a replacement. The most common brand that I can find in hardware stores (WHEN I can find them) is GE, and they're not cheap. This time, when I needed a replacement, I figured I'd save myself a frustrating trip to the store and see if I could get them on Amazon. Well, by golly, there they were, in this brand that I had never heard of, side-by-side with their more expensive cousins. I figured I'd give them a try. They shipped quickly, arriving at my house in two days (even on Amazon's non-prime free shipping) and they are a perfect replacement for the ones I've purchased in the past. Great product, great price, and fast shipping. What more could one ask?

Due to the Federal vendetta against incandescents, GE stopped making the 100 watt balloon-type bulb I need for a kitchen chandelier over a table. But some smaller companies carry on and this Satco bulb is the exact duplicate of the missing GE. Bought a batch (6) so I have a multi-year supply. Thank you Satco.

Seems to work okay. The white paint on the inside of the bulb that makes it opaque is speckled, with little white pinhead dots. The similar 15 year old bulbs don't have that, and are perfectly smooth. The dots are not noticeable unless you look directly at the bulb. Update: Lasted 3 months and then died.

I had a very hard time tracking this type of bulb down at a retail store since I wanted to make sure I was buying the right thing and was nervous about ordering a light bulb for delivery for fear of breaking. Luckily, this bulb was delivered with no problems whatsoever, and is exactly the right bulb that I needed. The bulb was shipped with its packaging wrapped in bubble wrap, and with a larger box to provide extra security. The bulb itself is somewhat standard. It feels just as bright as the bulb it is replacing (although obviously I can't be sure since I can't compare them at the same time), and provides an ample amount of light for the room. I was pleased with the price and will update this review should the bulb happen to burn out sooner than expected, etc.

I use these in a tack room and in my garage.

Excellent G4 Large Globe bulb that dims flawlessly. I hope it has a long life.

Just what we wanted and these are difficult to find. Works great in our hanging Tiffany Lamp.

I was concerned that something this fragile could arrive broken, but it was packed well and works perfectly.

We were pleased to find this dimmable globe light online. We could not find them in stores. We thought we might be taking a chance in having such a fragile item shipped to us but it arrived in perfect condition! Works great!

Lasted one day then burnt out! I would not recommend this product, try another seller.

This lasted 5 weeks with very light usage.

Bulb burnt out within 8 wks and it is in light fixative not used often in our home. Do not buy!!!!
