baggy and horrible
very thin fabric which is good i suppose, but the fit was baggy and horrid, so returned. not sure how it washes. may have been okay in a smaller size but the bagginess in weird places freaks me out.

It’s pretty good
Living in Texas, I don’t have much experience with wool. But I get cold easily and I wanted a more natural fabric than the polyester long johns I had been wearing, so I got these. Many reviews say they aren’t itchy, but in my opinion, they are itchy. Probably much less itchy than other wool, but I wouldn’t know. It is an itchy feel that doesn’t stop me from wearing them, so they are ok. I think the medium is a little too big for me (5’3” 110 pounds), and I will try small next time. Maybe because they are big, the ankle is just really baggy, and when I try to put pants over them, the base layer pants just ride up to my knees, so that’s frustrating. I have to tuck them into my socks first. Otherwise, the material is good and warm and probably just the right thickness. Color (black) is nice but I notice now that wool attracts every hair (my hair and dog hair) and doesn’t let go easily, so now I wish I hadn’t chosen black because the hair is very visible. If you are accustomed to wool, you are probably thinking I should have known these things!! And you will be happy with them.

Very nice set
This Merino.tech Merino Wool Base Layer Women Set - Midweight, Heavyweight Merino Wool Thermal Underwear For Women Top, Bottom is great. I got the Midweight (250 g/m²) and I think it will be perfect for my needs. The set is thick, warm, and fits great (I wear Medium and I got Medium). I have other Merino.tech products and they have worn well, so I am confident in purchasing this set (so much so that I purchased two sets at the same time). I am a Florida girl going to England this winter. I was in Paris last April and I was damn cold, so I want to be better prepared this time. I intend to wear this set not only as underclothes when out and about, but also as my jammies in the flat. Why take pajamas that can only be used for pajamas? I wash all my merino wool products in a wool wash that leaves lanolin in the material (I do not rinse them after the wash cycle, whether in my machine on delicate or by hand). I do wear my merino wool items several days before washing. I generally hang them up to air out and do not wear the same items two days in a row.
