Not for carpentry scribing
Not for carpentry scribing: The angle on the ends and the second point make this not ideal for carpentry scribing. It came in good condition and everything, but not ideal for what I was hoping to use it for!

Perfect tool!
I searched all over town for a larger-sized compass. Came home and found and ordered this one. I'm glad I did! It came so fast, and it's all that it described. I'm a calligrapher and needed this to be able to draw large, precise spirals for lettering. These feet stay in place. The provided pencil works well, and it adjusts easily with one hand.

Here We Go Round In Circles...
Mistakingly I pictured it about two thirds as tall. My bad. Nevertheless, it is a nice tool. DO NOT LOSE THE NUT THAT HOLDS ON THE TOP OF THE HANDLE. Mine was loose in the plastic bag and almost got tossed.

Really good for Wood Working when Your Old Stadler Set Doesn't Cut it
I was attempting to use my old college Stadler Compass for marking on wood and other material. They weren't making the cut. These units are really solid and easy to use. They remind me a lot of the old wood shop tools that were build to last for years. They are no frills but do the job quite well.
