Reebok was founded for one of the best reasons possible: athletes wanted to run faster. So in the 1890s, Joseph William Foster made some of the first known running shoes with spikes in them. By 1895, he was in business making shoes by hand for top runners; and before long his fledgling company, J.W. Foster and Sons, developed an international clientele of distinguished athletes.

Love my ZigUltra's
This is my 3rd set of Zigs. I'm extremely hard on shoes and wear them as my daily footwear. Reebok seem to fit me more true to size and have much better durability than say Nike's. I wear Nike's out in 4 months. I keep my Zigs over a year (dates of purchase below). My first set of Zigs were the Reebok Zig Flow (2/9/11). I wore them during the Paramedic program and put a serious amount of time and miles on them. They are still the best shoes I've ever worn comfort wise (need more time in the Ultra's but they are contenders so far). My only complaint was that the sole wasn't as durable as other shoes and rocks constantly got stuck in them. They did still last the entire Paramedic program you could just see how much had worn off. Based on my recommendation 2 other class mates purchased them. We were doing 12-24 hour shifts to get our required calls done and these helped fight fatigue in our feet. I still used them as my yard work shoes until I bought these ZigUltra's.My second set were the Reebok Zig Wilds (5/30/12). I picked these as they look more durable. They definitely were. The downside was they were never as comfortable. The soles held up better and rocks were not as big an issue so both my prior complaints had been addressed. I just wish they retained the pervious comfort. I don't care for round laces as they come untied easier. These are now my yard work shoes. Answer Reebok ZigUltra.Reebok ZigUltra (10/12/13) I'm extremely happy with them so far. I've worked out once and took my dogs on a walk 3 times so far besides my usual daily wear. They are more comfortable than the wilds and feel lighter too. Very much reminiscent of my first zigs. They have a lower profile sole keeping your feet closer to ground which is welcomed for weight lifting and working out. The sole has zones with softer parts for better impact absorbstion as well as stiffer parts for durability. Seems they combined the sole from my previous 2 shoes and it works. These are comfortable. Thank god these have flat laces. My old zigs came untied a lot. The eyelets keep the laces flat while laced up. These just feel like a refined version of my first Zig. The upper also seems more refined and really hugs my foot. I won't know about durability until I go to replace them but so far I'm happy. They say Black/Rivet Grey/Flat Grey/Pure Silver but are a dark blue as you can see in the photo. I love The color they are a nice looking dark blue, goes great with jeans. I don't care for flashy shoes and these just look nice.

Very happy with purchase.
I will start out saying that I am a fan of reebok and I am a pretty heavy guy 260#. So with that in mind I needed a running shoe that did not hurt my feet. I did a little research on what was the most comfortable shoe for big guys and naturally Zigs were on he short list.Knowing that Reeboks usually run a half size small for me as I have wide feet, I ordered a 12 and the fit was really good. Normally my size would be an 11.5 in another shoe.I have now ran twice with a combined total of 9 miles under these shoes. They have been extremely comfortable during my runs as well as my feet not hurting afterwards. One of the great thing I really like about this shoes is the "flat drop sole". It does have a groove down the middle of the heel part of the sole, but the rest is flush and keeps pebbles and gravel out of the sole. I run on and off road at times and that is a pet peeve to have gravel stuck in my sole! One thing I don't care much for but can easily look past is the laces. They feel very thin and fragile, but I believe they are made that way to reduce weight, of course they don't bother me when I am wearing them, I just don't care for the feel.I do Supinate when I run and I was a bit surprised that the heel had begun wearing already after two runs, however it has been 9 miles. I just hope that the sole itself can keep together for the long haul. This we will see after a month.Overall great product, besides buying a pair of say New Balance for over $100 you will be hard pressed to get a more comfy pair of shoes, especially if you're a big dude like me.

Great Value and nice looking shoes
I bought these for walking as a part of my workout routine. The shoes fit great and feel very comfortable. They have exactly the kind of cushioning I was looking for and they don't hurt my feet even after serveral miles plus the summer heat. I also like them for running and that surprised me because I had never liked Rebok for a running shoe but these are great. I will definitely get another pair when these wear out. The price is right and the quality is good. Very good shoes.

Love Reebok Zip products
No joke, i have over 13 pairs of these type of shoes - they really make my feet feel good. However, i recommend purchasing them from a store where you can try them on first as they all dont seem to be the same fit, feel, and quality. The most recent batch had little patches of colored tread on the bottom that quickly started peeling off - didnt note that the soles were constructed this way before i purchased. Will have to break out the shoe-goo for repairs. But i will still buy more ...

good running shoes
I'm a little heavy (5'10 and 225 lbs) so I need a really TOUGH running shoe that will haul my big @$$ around without letting me pound my knees and hips into dog-food. These do a great job. They are snug where you want it (across the bridge) and loose where you want it (in the toes) so you can run 5 miles and while you feet have room to swell, you don't give up crucial arch support. These fit good, and they work great as running shoes. They are not so good as "sneakers" unless you like wearing a big heel. The thing that makes them absorb heel-strike so well is also what makes them feel like high-heels for just kicking around in. of course, you shouldn't wear your running shoes unless you're running... so they are a properly designed and purpose built unit. I love that about them.
