Lunderg Alternating Air Pressure Mattress Pad with Static Mode & Flocking

Set up was as easy as most say. The mattress itself was comfortable and worked perfectly for about 6 weeks when the motor failed. I used the Amazon link to reach out to the manufacturer’s customer service. They responded the same day, asking me to do a few checks. When I replied the motor was still not functioning they once again responded immediately saying a replacement was in the mail. These days good customer service is rare and needs to be applauded.

This mattress pad really helped change our sleeping experience with my husband's recent diagnosis of ALS. He is almost always uncomfortable in every sleeping position because he has to remain in a recliner and we needed to be able to adjust the softness on any sleeping surface. The pad fits great on his hospital bed AND his 4z power lift recliner (with a fitted sheet) and it's honestly not bad on his permobile m3 wheelchair. We both love the alternating air pressure and the amount of adjustable softness/hardness. I can help him get comfortable and stay comfortable all night and not have to worry about moving him as much. I personally wouldn't recommend replacing manual body position adjustments to avoid bed sores with this item solely, but we have surely been able to go longer between position adjustments. Install was quick and easy and it seems to be easy to keep clean. I'd recommend the extra pad even though it seems over priced. You have to have the pad inflated to button the pad to the mattress so it doesn't move on you! Maybe those buttons are why it's so expensive!

This went onto a hospital bed because the mattress was good but firm. It did give my husband relief from pressure sores as well as a good nites sleep. We had NO noise from the air machine that we hung on the end of the bed. I bought the complete set with padding and was well pleased with it I also use a fitted sheet to cover all of it. It does slid a little but not a lot. He does not feel the wave motion but I’m sure it is there. My husband and I are WELL PLEASED WITH THE PERFORMANCE AND HOPE IT CONTINUES. This also will fit a regular twin size perfect. Our mattress is bariatric so there might be a one to 2 inch gap from each side of the mattress but it doesn’t effect the performance it does. My husband lays perfectly on it! I would buy again.

Worked well on my husband's hospital bed. Helped the pain in his back and wasn't very noisy.

Very easy to assemble and love the ability to hang the controls on the bed. My only issue is, it needs straps to hold it in place.

This is the first product I have purchased from Lunderg. It was recommended to me by a retired marine corps nurse. Everything arrived well packaged and intact with easy to understand directions. After attaching the pump to the mattress it made a very faint humming sound but would not inflate the mattress. I contacted Lunderg by email and they reqested some additional info such as did the mattress have a hole in it. After responding to them that the pump simply did not work, they mailed me a new pump with no more questions asked and no cost to me. I estimated it may have taken a couple of days for the pump to arrive. I hooked up the pump and it work as it should and the mattress inflated. I bought the mattress with the pad and planned to attach the pad to the mattress before inflating. I discovered that when the mattress is not inflated the pad appears way too small, but the directions do state that the mattress needs to be inflated before attaching the pad. I inflated the mattress and the pad then fit just fine. I have found that the true test of a company occurs when there is a product failure. This company responded and addressed my issue with a defective product by providing a replacement in a timely manner. The product works as advertised and I am very happy with the end result. Excellent customer service when it really matters. I want to also add that the pump is very quiet.

I have a full size adjustable bed for my relative who can't move or talk. This queen size is perfect! It inflates well and I have it on the alternating cycle. Her sleep has improved, but most importantly, her skin breakdown issues have completely subsided. I had on an old inflatable topper that wasn't inflating properly and was sized for a recliner, so in all ways this has improved her situation enormously.

I would say that this Lunderg Alternating Air Pressure Matress Pad with StaticMode and Flocking is doing its job in providing better circulation because my arms were falling asleep at night from the shoulders down But here is the But. I seem to be sensetive to chemical smells. I bought this one because it has the Flocking on one side that faces up which the person lies down on. the reason why I liked the flocking was it may have helped prvent the bed slip cover from sliding down by prviding some grip and friction. I have had other air matresses with flocking like this and they smell like the glue of a new pair of sneakers. now when you plug in the air pump which put air in and bleeds it off you will feel the matress rise and fill and then decompress as it lets air out. Here is the trouble with the air being released into your bedroom. IT SMELLS! so you have 2 smells. one right under your nose due to the glue or adhesive that holds the faux coating on and the constant timed air released from the electro mechanical box that does it job as it should but the it puts out a PVC smell. SO BE AWARE OF THE SMELLS. IF you are sensetive like I am you may be considering returning it. I am hoping it will "off gas" I have a LEVOIT AIR PURIFIR WITH A FILTER THAT IS SUPPOSED TO FILTER OUT VOC'S AND IT STILL SMELLS... SO THE BEST i CAN DO IS WAIT AND HOPE. The smell has subsided a little but I do have a headache. I am not sure if that is related to the smell or if It is due to some other factor. IF I was to give anyone advice at least on cutting down any smells or fumes it would be Don't get the one with the flocking and to try and see how putting enough air into this device and then switching it to static mode and leaving it on Soft. this may provide enough softness for your body to naturally circulate with subtle movements that you make like when you breath.. but I am not a professional so this is just what I am trying for a specific problem like the arm circulation with numbness issue or a shoulder injury.

Great quality product, but critical information missing – buyers beware! Both the pump and the bed are of great quality—no complaints about the build or performance. However, the listing failed to mention a critical detail: the pump runs on 110V 60Hz, which is incompatible with the power supply in the UAE and India. Because this information was not disclosed, I plugged it in and the pump burned out within minutes. Unfortunately, this was only discovered after reading the fine print on the back of the pump after it was already damaged. While I accept some responsibility, this kind of oversight from the seller is unacceptable. If you are purchasing this for use in the UAE or India, you must buy a voltage converter separately. This is a serious miss, and in my opinion, products like this should not be sold in these regions without proper warnings. Great product—but the listing needs to be transparent to avoid costly mistakes.
