Sanlida Dragon X9 Ready to Hunt Compound Bow Kit for Adults, Archery Hunting Bow Package with 12 Carbon Arrows, Adjustable up to 70 lbs, No Bow Press Needed, Right Hand Only

I was in the market for a replacement for my older PSE compound bow, while not wanting to spend a great amount of money. After many hours of research and You-Tube vids., I chose the Salinda Dragon X9 bow. It's the newest updated version of the Dragon X8, which has the distinction of being the best selling bow sold by Amazon. It's far exceeded my expectations. It came via 2 day shipping in a factory sealed box that was very well packaged for protection. Upon opening and after inspection, I used the included allen wrenches to change the draw length and weight to my prefered settings. Easy and fast using the instruction booklet packaged with bow. Two You-Tube vids. with the X9 punched in search, also show detailed unpacking along with set-up and right thru shooting first arrows. The package comes with a good quality case and a dozen good quaility arrows and quick detach quiver. The rest of the accessories are pretty much standard quality for these bow packages. After a few practicing arrows, I was shooting groups as tight as I've ever been able to do. This with-out any super tuneing was very impressive. While selling for a budget price, this bow's build quality, materials and shootability are at a much higher level. Also important to mention are my dealings with the customer service team. I had a few questions before and after purchase and received over night replies at all times. I also received a replacement arrow rest via 2 day delivery, to deal with the included rest that has interference with shooting the included arrows. Not a problem with my 500 grain, 28 inch arrows though. Final thoughts are that the Salind X9 is the very option among the many available at anywhere near this price and even above.

The bow itself is great, it comes with everything ready to hunt. It is designed to be used for hunting despite can also be a great option target shooters. Pros: 1. High quality bow, comes with the string attached so you don't need a bow press and contains all the basic attachments to use 2. Easy to tune, comes with a manual and there is many videos in YouTube to teach you how to tune. The only hard part is adjusting the draw length. Explained later. Most part you can tune and adjust your bow by your own easily after some tutorial other than peep sight that you may need a bow press and don't have issues with being not serviceable as you can do everything yourself other than peep sight that is serviceable. 3. Very affordable and very high value that is significantly cheaper compared to other brands products at similar quality 4. Nice appearance 5. Very smooth release Cons: 1. Arrows are not good, I suggest to get new ones as many user have experienced problems with it. 2. In rare cases user reported problems with the manufacturing defects. I didn't experience that. 3. The attachment are mid-low quality. If really need to improve accuracy you may need to upgrade them (mainly for experts, if you are beginner or intermediate shooting less than a year I suggest you focus more about improving on human errors rather than upgrading accessories). Since using the accessories that it comes with is still perfectly fine unless you are competing or an professional in target shooting, etc. Remember if you are competing, make sure to choose fixed pin because it don't comes with adjustable sight, stabilizers, and magnifiers like an target shooting compound does, unless you have upgraded the attached accessories. 5. Some people might find hard to adjust the draw length. Compared to other bows is still much better but there are still room for improvements. To adjust the draw length you have to loosen the back screw of the cam, then unscrew and change the screw position based on numbered indicator to adjust your draw weight and screw it. 6. There are pink coloring on screws not sure what those are after shooting for few days. But for now, it still works perfectly fine. (Probably it is corrosion since I leave it overnight at a very humid environment)

Overall this is a very nice bow. With all the accessories that are included it's really a good buy. Pros: Great riser, good limbs with dampeners, decent sight, D-loop installed and nicely set-up, very easy to adjust Draw length and draw weight without bow-press. Cons: Arrows are weird and don't work with the included arrow rest. The 4" fletching jams into the rest. On the positive side the support center for Sanlida immediately responded and sent me 12 new arrows with shorter vanes (3") and they moved the vanes 1/2" closer to the nock. Great service! I was still able to use the 4" vanes by flipping the rest to the front of the riser. I had to modify the rest: the brushes were way to close to each other and had to be ground off on a belt sander, now the arrows glide nicely past the rest. I don't use the quiver, arm sling, the stand and I use my own palm-release. All in all the bow is well built and a good value.

Should you buy this bow? No, you should not. Is it absolutely terrible? No, the bow itself is ok. But if you end up enjoying shooting a bow, you'll end up spending much more money in the long run and you'll just end up being frustrated. The good: -The bow works and isn't hard to setup. -It has a good amount of adjustability, so it will fit most people. -You technically have everything you need, but you'll hate what you have. -The bow shoots ok and as long as you aren't dumb, it should be safe. -It's a compound bow, so for $300, you can be slinging arrows in 24 hours or so, I guess that is cool. The Bad: -All of the accessories on this bow are trash. I wouldn't even try to shoot the arrow rest. If you make the bad choice, and buy this bow, make sure you get the Trophy Ridge Master Hunter Kit, but that will cost you another $100, and those accessories are only ok. -The arrows are absolute trash and will start falling apart, unless you decide to spend even more money on a drop away rest. Shooting 150-200 arrows a week, I needed to get a dozen new arrows, which cost another $200. -The release sucks. You'll end up wanting to replace it, so that will cost you more money. -While the bow is adjustable, if you're draw length is over 30", you probably aren't going to like a 30" ATA bow. The peep sight is going to be very far from your face. -Case stinks, you'll want to replace it. -There are YouTube videos out that will help you set this up, but the instructions are hard to follow. -The d-loop is poorly made and pinches the nock, so you'll end up having to fix that. -The bow isn't super loud, but it's not quiet and it vibrates a decent amount. -The back wall is not stiff, so it's really hard to use proper shot mechanics and pull through your shot. The Ugly: -This thing will start falling apart on you quickly. I already have had to fix multiple things on the bow, which costs even more money. The serving that covers the string at the string stop came apart, so I had to buy serving thread and do that myself. -If you try to play around with draw length, the bolts on the cam module will strip out, making the bow unsafe. That happened to me last night. -Sanlida is a Chinese company that rips off American companies technology. They do do not pay FET (Federal Excise Tax under the Pittman-Roberson Act, which supports conservation) and while I don't like paying taxes, I do support conversvation. -When you run into issues, and you will, Sanlida will not stand by their product. They did send me a new string, but but you will have to fix that yourself with no instructions and it is a huge pain in the ass without a bow press. -Most bow shops will not help you fix this bow, so you're on your own. -If you fall in love with this sport, as I have, you'll feel like an idiot for buying this bow and will spend more time frustrated that you didn't just get a decent budget bow. As MFJJ (Podium Archer on YouTube, look him up) says, go to your local bow shop and get one of the budget bows that he recommends. They'll set it up for you properly and while you will spend more money to get that bow, some arrows and a decent release, you'll probably save money in the long run. And you'll spend more time slinging arrows and not pissed that you bought this piece of garbage.

I come from the traditional recurve bare bow world and, for years, didn't think I would get a compound bow. Until I saw a slew of YouTube videos on the Dragon X8 and now the X9. I decided to see what all the hoopla was about and pulled the trigger. The bow is amazing and easy to tune. I like the ability to have a bow that can go from 20 lbs to 70 lbs of pull weight with the mods on the cams. It's well-balanced and has a smooth draw with great let-off. The net weight is decent. Probably could shave off a few oz.'s in future models. Decent accessories, but you'll probably upgrade if you get into the sport. I did get the one with the arrows that can't work with a whisker biscuit, but a drop-away works! They sent me the new Dragon 9 arrows to replace the ones I have, and they have updated the arrow vane placement and size. They went from a 4" to a 3" vane and the long vanes were placed higher on the shaft. For less than $300 you can't go wrong.

It's pretty good, for what it is it will get you in the woods, only recommend different arrows and the black light on the sight is very bright, so much so that in low light situations you can loose your target due to the brightness, other than that super beginner friendly. Note this is budge it's no Mathews but for the price it's a ceiffs kiss

I am a newbie to archery. I bought 2 Sanlida recurve bows and 2 TBows to get in to Olympic style shooting for fun at 65 year young. After 5 months I have developed some skills but I can't shoot beyon 40Yds with the recurve bows with real accuracy ( such as 5" groups). I bought this bow, Sanlida Dragon X9, so I can shoot from 60yards and yes it does the job. Please see the attached pics for my setup and target results (I used picked up arrows from local archery range so the results are not great.) By the way, I am shooting rifles off hand for years so aiming and shooting a bow is not so hard for me. About the package: I received an opened box. Everything found intact and in new condition. The warehouse may openned it to check the bow's color ( I did return a bow before this one for wrong color ordered.) Set up the bow was easy and all accessories and arrows are decent and useable except the mechanical release. It broke after a couple of pulls. I set the bow only at 45# (the release could be OK for under 35#). I wish Sanlida has 2 options. one for teens (this package) another for adults with more serious accessories (at higher price of course).

Es un arco en principio atractivo aparentemente para gente que tire a nivel intermedio y con mucha publicidad positiva, por eso uno lo compra, pero en mi opinión es para gente de mucha experiencia que personalmente tiene el equipo y conoce como modificar un arco, no es para gente de nivel básico ni intermedio común y corriente. Tiene muy pocas prestaciones. Para empezar, en éste deporte, sea para caza o competencia, la mucha práctica hace al maestro, en lo personal tiro quince rondas de seis tiros promedio por sesión de práctica. Con éste arco tal como viene es imposible tirar todas esas rondas sin lastimarse, porque viene con un arranque duro, una transición muy dura y seca, con un descanso adecuado aunque no es del 80%. las razones son las siguientes: Trae cuerdas con material de ballesta y un acortamiento de 3/16" mas cortos de las especificaciones; loop, peep, mira, contrapeso, repisa y demás de muy baja calidad. Por si fuera poco especificaciones mas cortas que lo que es de un buen diseño, por tales cosas tuve que rehacer cuerdas de BCY 452Xtra con cables 1/8" de pulgada más largos de las especificaciones y cuerda 1/4" mas largo de las especificaciones, es decir, el diseño original es inadecuado; agrege una repisa, peep, loop, contrapeso, estabilizadores de palas y pendiente una mejor mira, con esto ya me quedo un arco de arranque suave, una transición incluso agradable, sin embargo aún le falta estabilidad. ya es un arco rápido, con lo cual pensaba en devolverlo en su estado original pero se venció el tiempo de devolución. Si tratas de usar este arco tal como viene de fabrica, sólo podrás hacer unos cuantos tiro por sesión. Además es un poco más pesado que otros similares en 300 gr, lo cual a la hora de cazar o competir, eso cuenta, si eres novato o incluso intermedio en esto, no te recomiendo este arco, debes de saber como se siente un arco, para pedir algo similar de este arco. Anexo la foto del arco de lo cual quedó chulo, y de la adaptación de la funda para cargar tus flechas, las cuales llegan con la plumas maltratadas, hay que enderezarlas y recortar las flechas, como ventaja de este arco es que es aguantador, soporta cierto maltrato, nótese que por ejemplo, se puede dejar en el piso sin riesgo a desajustes. Al final si consideramos el sobrepeso, todo lo que se le tiene que invertir en dinero, tiempo y trabajo para éste arco, esto es, para tirar de forma aceptable, te llevara el doble de dinero y un montón de trabajo. ya con todos estos ajustes podría dársele una calificación de 4 estrellas y, quizás con un mayor contrapeso al que ya le puse y una buena mira podría ponérsele 4.5 estrellas, nunca 5 estrellas porque es pesado.

Sehr spaßiges und preiswertes Gerät. Lässt sich auch ohne Hilfe komfortabel einstellen. Mitgelieferte Pfeile sind völlig in Ordnung. Release sollte man ggf. selber nachkaufen

llego dañada la mira. uno de los pines suelto y no prende la luz. las pilas llegaron corroidas. no quiero devolver todo el arco solo por eso.
