Thatch Rake, 15‑Inch Wide Dual‑Side Dethatching Rake for Lawn

Sturdy, easy to put together with the included wrenches. I really like the screw-together handle that allows the length to be adjusted and taken apart for storage of needed. The angle of the head of the rake can be adjusted which is a nice feature. Overall very nice product.

The handle os cheap and broke in the first 20 min of using it bit it did work good so im hoping I can just replace the garbage handle . Stuff on Amazon realy needs to come with solid one piece handles they ship plenty of small things in big boxes but we get rip-off with handles on rakes and stuff . Very upsetting you can't find one with a one piece handle

Works well. I advise putting a drop of superglue on each of the bar joints because as your working it.back and forth they tend to come loose. But the tool as a whole works absolutely especially after I shifted the angle one is good for digging it out and the other just skims the top when collecting the thatch removed to the bag or wheelbarrow. Been working the heck out of it for like a week. I’ve already addressed the few deficiencies. It’s a wonderful tool and is priced better than any others. Works like a $59 one after I superglues the screw points in the handle and it weights about 10 pounds less as well reducing fatigue from having to lug it around. Ok that is the most complete review I have ever give. But I think everyone should leave reviews after purchase to let others know what they’re buying.I know I review the 12’&3 stars ones first so I’m setting it at a 4 star just so I won’t be bunched in with all the 5s ya know. I like the tool it works!

This thing is a beast.Spent nearly a full weekend this season cleaning up my lawn and found this to be a VERY effective tool.Simple assembly with no nonsense threading. The hardest part is picking an angle for the head you want to work with, but adjustments are pretty painless with the provided tools. It's heavy enough to be effective, sturdy, and stable, but not so heavy that you feel like you're fighting the rake. It's easy to maneuver and manipulate, but your experience will vary depending on the head angle you choose to work with. The most aggravating part of working with this rake is manually cleaning the tines. If you've got a thick mess to clean, you will be very hands on to clean it out of the rake.I live in the PNW and my lawn gets heavy shade from surrounding pines (especially in winter). You'll have to look at the pics, but I filled a huge yard waste bin two weeks in a row with dead moss and debris.

This thatch rake is good quality and well made. I was worried that the long handle may be weak and bend or loosen often since it is 3 pieces that screw together but it appears to be very strong and durable. The blades and arms of the business end are thick. The supplied nuts and bolts are very good quality and assembly was very easy. Some things made in China are very good quality and this is one of them. If the long handle ever wears out, it can be replaced with a wood handle with the right tools. If you've used a thatch rake before, then you know the good it does for any lawn that needs dethatching. I think it's probably the best thing you can do for any lawn besides fertilization and aeration. You also know what a workout it can be with big and thick lawns. It will pull up embedded thatch you didn't even know you had and encourage new growth. I'm going to dethatch, then overseed and fertiize, and water in. The lawn will look great in just a few weeks when the new seed germinates and grows in. I have Bermuda grass and the landscapers keep it cut short and don't bag the clippings so I have a lot of thatch and clippings every year. This rake will take care of all of it and I will only need to use it once a year. It's design is a lot more effective than a bow rake or leaf rake for lifting thatch and debris from your lawn which can choke out your exisitng grass.

I’d rate this rake a solid 3 out of 5. It does its job effectively—pulled up a ton of thatch and loosened the top layer of soil on the first use. However, I noticed a couple of drawbacks. The connecting poles tend to come loose during use, which means you’ll need to stop and tighten them occasionally. Also, after just one session, some of the metal teeth started bending slightly, which makes me question how long this rake will hold up. Overall, it works as intended, but the build quality could definitely be better for long-term use.

Just what I needed to get rid of dead moss. Easy to use with good weigh in the head.

Got this to thatch my front yard. It works okay, not great. The multi piece handle definitely needs to be longer, it's made for someone 5 feet tall. Anyone taller,it feels like you're using a kids play rake. The de-thatcher piece itself is pretty heavy and sturdy. If I ever need another one, would spend the extra money to get something a little better.

Great product. Really does a good job. It was a bit back breaking but that's a given with any manual labour. I would recommend this. I have now aerated, reseeded and topdressed and hope to see some new growth.

This rake is just what I needed. Does a great job. The blades do bend as others have said just don’t pull to hard. You can easily bend them back. And the screwed connections do come loose. Just use some glue on the threads as others have said here and your good to go

Did a great job with my Sir Walter lawn. Solid components and easy to assemble.

The item feels very solid and well-built, made from thick metal that gives it a sturdy, durable feel. It’s on the heavier side, but that adds to the sense that it will last for years without issue. Assembly only took a few minutes, and I was able to put it to use right away on our dormant backyard lawn. The tool works well and does exactly what it’s supposed to, though it is fairly physically demanding to use.
