Review: pretty small; not sure of quality yet - very tiny; not sure it will be effective beyond a teeny tiny space; not at all meant for even a largish space; no temp control, just low/med/high (high what? low what?); they say there's a fan but . . . uh . . . best thing about it is the wire on the cord so dogs won't chew it but who's running the cord on the floor? mine goes straight overhead anyway. No mounting screws included. At $50 I'd say it was okay, but at $150? leaves a LOT to be desired. ## Features - LONG LASTING: The Hound Heater Deluxe lasts for years (100,000 on/off cycles) and is powered by long-life 400W heating element. Just plug it into a 110v outlet, that's it! - SAFE CONSTRUCTION: Features heavy duty chew-resistant cord and rounded corners for added safety. Internal heat shield protects all wires and components. - SAVES ENERGY: Hound Heater Deluxe dispenses safe, dry heat up to 100 cubic feet and only runs when needed. - SET IT & FORGET IT: Thermostat control allows for accurate control of the heat in your pet's house. - EASY TO INSTALL: The Hound Heater can be installed in minutes with four screws or bolts. A Special mounting bracket is available that allows the furnace to be mounted on igloo type houses. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0CCZB1DFG | | Amperage | 3.33 A | | Best Sellers Rank | #217,131 in Pet Supplies ( See Top 100 in Pet Supplies ) #518 in Dog Houses | | Brand | Hound Heater | | Brand Name | Hound Heater | | Color | Red | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 12 Reviews | | Fuel Type | Electric | | Heat Output | 400 watts | | Heating Coverage | 33.33 square feet | | Heating Element | Radiant | | Heating Method | Forced Air | | Included Components | Hardware | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 4.25"D x 6.25"W x 7.75"H | | Item Weight | 2.8 pounds | | Max Temperature Setting | 100 °F | | Model Number | Akoma 400W B | | Mounting Type | Wall Mount | | Number of Items | 1 | | Part Number | 5010 | | Power Source | Electric | | Product Dimensions | 4.25"D x 6.25"W x 7.75"H | | Recommended Uses For Product | Dog House | | Room Type | Outdoor | | Special Feature | Electronic Thermostat | | Special Features | Electronic Thermostat | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Hound Heater - **Color:** Red - **Heating Method:** Forced Air - **Power Source:** AC power - **Recommended Uses For Product:** Dog House ## Images ![Hound Heater Deluxe 400 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91DXAot22NL.jpg) ![Hound Heater Deluxe 400 - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81+54tB1a4L.jpg) ![Hound Heater Deluxe 400 - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/812C9G3FgrL.jpg) ![Hound Heater Deluxe 400 - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71eKHBG5RVL.jpg) ![Hound Heater Deluxe 400 - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71ffTJyYeoL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: How loud is it? My dog is a bit sensitive to sound.** A: The fan is very quiet when the unit is running. You can hear it but it is very faint. **Q: Is 3 wire cord the same as 3 prong extension cord?** A: Hello, I am not sure what 3 wired cord means. Our units require 3 prongs and our extension cords require the same thing. **Q: Dose it shut off once it reaches the correct temperature and start up once it drops below the set temperature?** A: I do not believe it does this. I believe it stays at whatever temperature you set it on until you change it or unplug it. We only use it during the cold months and just unplug it during the summer. **Q: Can android system use this bluetooth model? Can the app be downloaded?** A: yes, the app runs on android and can be downloaded to any smart device. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐ pretty small; not sure of quality yet *by M***K on November 3, 2023* very tiny; not sure it will be effective beyond a teeny tiny space; not at all meant for even a largish space; no temp control, just low/med/high (high what? low what?); they say there's a fan but . . . uh . . . best thing about it is the wire on the cord so dogs won't chew it but who's running the cord on the floor? mine goes straight overhead anyway.
