Great value for the money
I wanted a Rickenbacker. Yes I’m a Beatles fan. Couldn’t justify the $4000 price tag. The Danelectro 12 string is a nice substitute. Plays well and sounds great. Set up was almost perfect (they are made in Korea and set up in the USA). A little tinkering with the intonation and the guitar was perfect. Each string has its own saddle, so setting the intonation is an easy fix. The only thing I wish was different is the way the strings are arranged. The octave string is before the regular string (looking down at the 6th string). On a Rickenbacker, the regular string is before the octave, so it doesn’t sound exactly like a Rickenbacker. Comfortable weight. The neck does dive, but I can live with it. Worth the money.

Great guitar with a little setup work.
Not a bad guitar. When I received it ... the intonation was horrible. But with a little patience and a tuner I set the intonation and it plays great. A Danelectro guitar is known for being a cheap lower end guitar but that’s part of its charm. Has a jangly aound. The lipstick pickups are part of this sound. The tone knob has a nice large range. When you get it you will need to set the intonation. Each course of strings has a single movable saddle along with a smaller side saddle attached for the higher octave string (unison on B and E) begin by intonating the larger of the two then slide the smaller string saddle back as needed. Standard 12-String Guitar
For what it is, this is a fine guitar. The lipstick pickups surprised me. Tuning and restringing are annoying. So it goes.
