BEWARE! Major Inconsisancies with Accuracy!
I teach fertility awareness and childbirth education classes and decided to use my own cycles and process getting pregnant with #2 to field test some of the more DIY ovulation predictors. I have been using the FAM method for years and have reached a point where I am able to predict my ovulation and fertile days without temping, but for the sake of SCIENCE! I decided to use all of the indicators at my disposal. I have tested many over-the-counter ovulation kits from drugstores and they have been very accurate, so I am not saying that *all* ovulation kits or testing strips are inaccurate, just that the particular tests included in this set have major Quality Assurance issues and should not be used as a primary indication of ovulation for the purpose of conception. You might get a batch that works, as other Amazonians here have had great results with them. Or you may get one of the batches that doesn't work and spend months of trying and tears while questioning your fertility. For me these tests didn't show a positive for an LH surge until three days after my cervical fluid changed, two days after my temp spiked and my saliva "ferned", and the day after I had a sharp ovarian twinge on my left side. Coupled with the instructions to try conceiving more than 24 hours and less that 48 hours after a positive result these strips told me to try to conceive a full 72 hours after I should have. Granted, while I did not do blood draws to verify hormone levels absolutely, I did use every other indicator possible. This means SCIENCE!, something that so many women put so much faith in during this very emotional process, was wrong. While using the strips I spoke with a friend of mine who has been using these for several months without any luck. After chatting for a little while and comparing her cycles to my skepticism of not getting a positive test on the same day my temp spiked I advised her to not wait this month for the strips to indicate a positive, but to go by her secondary indicators (she was not temping because she was using the strips...oh, the irony). As of the writing of this she is three days late for her menstrual cycle and I would bet money she's pregnant. My advice is to poke around the internet for tests with less mixed reviews. They may be more expensive, but you'll need fewer of them and you'll save money on Kleenex and tubs of Haagen Dazs.

Easy to Use, Accurate
We decided to start trying for a baby and a friend recommended we get an OPK to take out some of the guesswork. I ordered these online to get to $25 for free shipping on another order :) The tests came sans frills in a ziploc bag. Printed instructions were very clear. My cycle varies between 27 and 30 days (averaging 29 days over the last year or so). I started testing at Day 9 and the positive test day varied for me between Day 13 and 15 over 3 cycles. I stop testing after the first positive. I use plastic cups to dip the stick in. Dip for 5 seconds and read after 3 minutes. I tried to test around 6pm everyday after trying not to go to the loo for 3-4 hours beforehand (just stopped drinking large amounts of water after 2pm). I got very clear positives on all three cycles so far - they were corroborated by basal body temperature shifts about 1-2 days later. I don't have any positive pregnancy test results to report yet - will update later. But for what its worth - the negatives were very clearly negatives on the pregnancy tests! :) EDITED TO ADD (sorry this is long!): So after 16 months, we decided to get further help with trying to conceive - we went in for an unmedicated IUI with my OBGYN. The timing has to be really precise - my doctor asked me to test in the mornings (which was bad - the fact that my pee is more concentrated in the mornings caused a lot of near positives) and go in for the IUI the next day after a positive OPK. Since I tend to ovulate within about 36 hours of the LH surge, I was very nervous about missing my window. And you know how it goes - the more nervous you get, the weirder your hormones seem to act! I got a near positive on Day 13, and thought it was a real positive. I went in for the IUI - and my BBT only went up 4 days later. I had stopped testing by then (was only taking my temp in the morning) - but I believe if I had continued, I would've seen a clearer positive around CD 15 or 16. Needless to say, we did not conceive that cycle. The next cycle, though, was a different story. I bought the Clearblue Easy Digital Ovulation Test, 20 Count (Packaging May Vary) . You get a smiley face when the surge is detected. No two ways about it. I tested with the Wondfo's at the same time (twice a day with both tests) and when I saw the same near positive on the Wondfo, the Clearblue was negative. That really kept me from jumping the gun. I saw a real positive a couple of days later on BOTH tests in the morning. Called the doc and went in for an IUI the next day. It worked!! So the bottom line for this long story - the Wondfo's are great. I love them - but if you are the type that gets near positives and you need some precision in predicting ovulation (not just trying as often as possible in the fertile window), you need to get some extra help. As for the pregnancy tests that I finally got a positive on - these are very sensitive. I tested in the evening on 9DPO and saw a super faint line. The next morning's test with FMU was absolutely positive. I only went in for a blood test two days later on 12DPO (Beta=60) - but if beta doubles every 48 hours, this test detected really low beta for me at around 25-30 (note - that is only a guess). At this price, that's amazing!

Would give 10 stars if I could
I never really write reviews for things I order from Amazon, but I absolutely had to review these strips. I used these strips for three cycles. The first cycle I used them I was anxious to see whether they worked. I started using them on the earlier side, probably around day 7 of my cycle. I was nervous because I wasnt exactly sure what I was looking for in terms of coloring on the strips, and I went quite a few days not noticing any change, and I used three per day because, why not at that price? I tested around 10 AM, 2 PM, and 8 PM. However, on CD 12 in the afternoon the strips began to get a tiny bit darker. They darkened over the next few days until I ovulated on CD 14 with a VERY obvious positive (test line was darker than control line), then the color disappeared altogether. I began testing with the HCG strips on 10 DPO and continued for several days with no positive. No pregnancy that month :(. The second month I used these strips I began using them again on Cd 7, and surprisingly the strips began to darken in the evening on CD 8. I ovulated on CD 10, and again began testing using the HCG strips on 10 DPO and for several days after that. No positive pregnancy test that month :(. The third cycle I used these strips I worried because CDs 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13 passed with no positive. I worried I wasn't going to ovulate at all that month. Finally on CD 14 the strips began to darken, and I finally ovulated on CD 18. I decided to wait and see past 10 DPO before testing because I didn't want to be disappointed. On 12 DPO I decided to use one of the pregnancy tests because my husband was bugging me non-stop about how I felt. The strips came up with a VERY faint positive at 10:00 at night. That night I woke up in the middle of the might sick to my stomach. The following morning I used another test which came up slightly stronger. That day I was extremely nauseous and had a bad headache and backache so I was fairly certain the strips were accurate. I confirmed later that day with a First Response Early Response test. The lines were much darker on the First Response than the strips but I didn't split hairs because the faint positive was still a positive and I do believe that the FRER can detect the HcG at a lower level than these strips. These strip did exactly what they were supposed to do for me, and I likely would not have gotten pregnant in the 3rd cycle if not for these strips because I ovulated so much later than regular calendars would have told me. DEFINITELY a worthwhile purchase. Don't get frustrated if it doesn't happen the first month. We tried for 6 months and the last 3 we used the OPK, so really it only took us 3 months of knowing exactly when I ovulated and had the best chance. I am now 15 weeks pregnant! Good luck!

Okay to read once you get the hang of it, otherwise confusing at first.
This is for the ovulation kit only. I will update later on once I use the pregnancy test. So far, the ovulation tests are pretty decent. The only thing is that the lines are hard to read if you've never used them before. Once ovulation day was nearing, I got a what I thought looked like a positive only to find out the next day what a really positive one looked like. During a certain positive, the test line is significantly darker than the control. I tried again the next day and got a faint positive where the control and test lines were faint but equal in color. I know they say after a positive there's no need to check afterward but I did it out of curiosity since I was a bit confused to begin with. I don't have the pricy ovulation test as a second opinion so I'm not sure if maybe I caught the low, medium or peak LH. But I know for sure I must've gotten a peak surge. I used two different android apps, My Calendar and Flo to help track my ovulation. The apps are definitely not as accurate as the strips but give a good idea of fertility range for regular cycles. Make sure to count your tests once you receive them. There were two missing ovulation tests in the plastic bag so I contacted the seller who immediately sent replacements. Also, as other reviewers have mentioned, make sure you get the authentic Wondfo product from authorized sellers. The ovulation tests with the following lot number and expiry work fine: Ovulation Test - Cat No: W2-S Lot: W00270104-3 Exp: 2019-01-10. **UPDATE: After three cycles of using the OPKs, I can say they work. For these, the instructions do have to be followed correctly. I got positives up to 2 days in a row and noticed on the first day I got a positive, I would get a faint line and then the line got darker when there was more surge. In the first two cycles, we were probably a little early so it didn't coincide with ovulation. The third cycle, we tried the day after I got the dark positive opk. We even threw in some Pre-Seed to dance a little more smoothly. Since pregnancy tests are more effective the longer you wait after a missed period, I got impatient and waited almost a week after not seeing my monthly gift. Turned out positive! It has Cat No: W1-S Lot: W00170116-3 Exp: 2019-01-10. In fact, it was much easier to read than the First Response test which gave me a faint positive. I also used a ClearBlue digital test just to make sure and it also turned out positive. Good luck to all those who are TTC!

Outstanding product
Before we started TTC I was not using OPKs. Big mistake. Turns out I have highly irregular periods and later got diagnosed with PCOS. I've read on many forums that OPKs may not work for women with PCOS. For me, though, these OPKs and HPTs work perfectly, better than the most expensive brands. Once I knew I had PCOS and conceiving would be difficult, I bought several packs of these. I started using the OPKs early in each cycle, even though I knew I wouldn't ovulate until several months and then finally several weeks after my cycle began. I have been temping throughout the process of using OPKs. Each cycle after I got a positive OPK it was only about 1-2 days before my temps rose as well, signaling the day I ovulated. I recommend using these OPKs in conjunction with daily temping using the Taking Charge of Your Fertility guidelines as the gospel. When both align you'll know for certain that you ovulated. I know several reviewers say these tests are difficult to read. Let me tell you, mine were always accurate. The OPK test line MUST be as dark as the OPK control line in order for you to have a positive reading. If it's even slightly lighter than the control line, sorry, you still haven't ovulated. Keep testing daily. I had a bunch of extra HPTs because I wasn't using them, so 9 days after I ovulated this cycle I used this HPT just for kicks. It was negative. The next day, on 10 days past ovulation, it was positive! The darkness of the HPT test line will increase each day if you're pregnant. Eventually, the HPT test line and control line will be the same level of darkness. I read in Consumer Reports that First Response Early Pregnancy tests are the most accurate early pregnancy tests on the market. While this may be true, I used my special leftover First Response early test on 12 days past ovulation at the same time that I used this HPT, and this cheap HPT had a test line that was exactly the same level of darkness as the First Response test. So, if I were you, I wouldn't waste my money on those expensive tests when these work exactly the same way and you can get 40 OPKs and 10 HPTs for the price of about 2 First Response HPTs. I've taken plenty of these negative OPKs and plenty of negative HPTs. All were totally accurate. But I've also gotten my fair share of positive OPKs, and now finally after over nine months of trying, positive HPTs! Buy these!
