I picked up this Tapo L530B colour bulb not expecting much given the price, but it’s actually been a really solid addition and great value for money. Setup was straightforward through the Tapo app and linking it with Alexa only took a couple of minutes. Since then it’s been reliable with no dropouts, which is always my main concern with smart stuff. Brightness is more than enough for a main room light and it dims nicely through the app or voice control. Just worth knowing it won’t work with a traditional dimmer switch, so it’s better on a standard on/off. The colours are better than I expected as well great colour temperature range. The whites go from a warm cosy tone to a cooler brighter light, and the colours are strong enough to actually notice without looking cheap or washed out. In day to day use it’s very responsive. Commands through Alexa are pretty much instant and it reconnects quickly if it’s been turned off at the wall. Only small downside is the usual smart bulb thing where if someone turns it off at the switch, you lose control until it’s turned back on again, but that’s not really a fault with this one specifically. Overall, it just works. Easy to set up, reliable, and does exactly what you’d want from a smart bulb without spending a fortune. Compatible with Alexa and google home. The Atari app oddly takes up a lot of storage space if this is a premium for you but does work very well And easy to navigate.

This Tapo bulb impressed me from the start. Setup was effortless through the Tapo app and paired instantly with Alexa. The brightness is excellent more than enough to light a medium-sized room and colours are vibrant without looking artificial. Definately worth getting into the tapo ecosystem over phillips with the other items available I’ve set it on a timer to come on gradually in the mornings, and it works every time without delay. The energy monitoring feature is a nice bonus too. The integration with Matter means it’ll work across platforms if I ever switch ecosystems. For the price, it’s outstanding value and performs just as well as Philips Hue bulbs I’ve owned previously.

I've had smart bulbs in the past, but had major problems re-connecting to wi-fi when the connection failed, and the set procedure was a major pain. This bulb was extremely simple....fit the bulb, open the app, turn the lamp on and connection in about 2 minutes. Works with both the Tapo app and Alexa. Highly recommended.

I love these bulbs. I have one in my livingroom and one in my bedroom and they're connected to my Alexa echo pop, so I can use my voice to turn lights on or off or change the colour. I have also got 2 spare bulbs there for when I ever need them. I have the Tapo app on my phone, and i can change the colour to any mood, there are lots of settings. There are also effects you can choose from, or you can customise your own effect. I have been using these bulbs for the past year, and I've not had to change them yet. You can dim the lights either with the app or your voice, and you can also turn the light up. I have a small flat, so I only need one in my bedroom and one in my livingroom. I still have 2 spare bulbs. You can also control the lights with the Alexa app. There's so many colours to choose from. I absolutely love this whole set up. I really recommend these bulbs, they last a long time and my livingroom one has never been off, it's the layout of my flat, my bedroom is just off the livingroom. These are b22 (bayonet bulbs) not the screw in ones. I give 5 stars because these bulbs have never let me down.
