When I bought it, price was 8$ now it’s gone up. Anyways I have google mini and connecting this socket to google mini was little complicated but once u finish setting up and connecting it with ur google mini, it works great. This is how to set-up this device: 1. Plug in the socket to the electrical outlet. 2. push the blue light on the side for few seconds untill it starts blinking 3. Get Smart Life App on ur phone and register as new coustomer. Pair this app with your socket and you are good to go. Now connect this socket to google mini by adding this socket to the google home app. To add Open Home Control of the google Home app. Select "Smart Life", then fill in the correct login info of your app account to finish the account linking. Your device should be listed in Home Control device list now. Also would like to comment that customer service was amazing. When I bought this device it was advertised as a "2-Pack" but I only received 1 outlet. So I emailed them and they sent me another one. I see the price has gone up and now “2-pack” description has been removed so may be you won’t get 2 pack and lower price anymore but still this device is cheap compared to others in market and works great. It has remote voice command and schedule timer option.

The device came on Sunday as promised, I downloaded the app, plugged it in, went through 2 minute setup, most of the time was deciding what to name it and it's worked flawlessly with my Google mini. Anyone having issues doing setup is probably trying too hard. App--plug in---push button---setup--enjoy life. WILL definitely buy more of it stands up over next couple months. And the price, ohmygosh.

So most of the time it works fine with the app to turn the plug on and off, I find that using it with Alexa is very buggy at times. Occasionally when its not working, Alexa will report it's not responding, however most of the time when it doesn't work Alexa acknowledges your request but the plug does nothing. I find that I have to fix it with Alexa once a week or more. I have to go unplug and plug it back in for it to start responding properly again. A little disappointing, but I could have spent more, to be honest, to expect perfection.

This thing is great, it works well with my Google home mini. I knocked it down a star because of the set up difficulty: I have a dual band router so I know I have 2.4Ghz available. I have a Fitbit scale that requires 2.4. When you set up WiFi things like this you use your phone as a "pass through" initially. I used my phone fine for now scale but I couldn't for this, because my phone happened to be on the 5Ghz band. If anyone reading this has the same difficulty here's what I did: if your phone doesn't have the option in wifi settings to force it to go through the 2.4Ghz band, get on a computer and log into your router settings. What I did was turn off the 5Ghz band to force my phone onto the 2.4Ggz band. Then the set up was flawless. (I went back to turn on the 5Ghz band after for my phone.) Hope this helps someone. I'm ordering my second one today. It's so lovely to say, hey Google turn on the lights. Impresses all my friends haha. :)

Works great! I am very pleased. It works with my Google Home Mini effortlessly through the Smart Life App. All you need to set it up it a wifi connection and password (make sure you have the password on hand while setting it up), the Smart Life App, and of course an outlet and the plug itself. It takes a minute to do, and once the device is added to the Smart Life app it takes 2 minutes tops to allow the google home app to log into your Smart Life app and add the devices. I am so, so, so pleased that as soon as I set the smart plug up I bought two more.

I have nothing special on my network. A couple of TVs and a computer. Generic FIOS home user. I bought an Alexa Input which works well for the most part. I bought this outlet to control one plug. Wont install. I press the On button until I get a rapid blink as expected. I open the app on my phone and attempt to discover it. After about 15 seconds the indicator light (On button) stops blinking and the timer runs out on my phone app with a Failed to Connect error. Ive tried to reset the On switch when it shuts off, and a variety of other options it suggests. Nothing works. I am within 5 feet of the router, outlet and phone so it's all accessible. I never even make it to the Alexa pairing. Maybe a defective unit. FYI, Im a long time IT professional, I am very good with electronics and computers.

Works perfectly. Setup was easy. Just plug it in and hold the on button for 5 seconds until it flashes and then try to add it on the app. Took about 2 minutes total to setup. Would definitely buy more for other parts of the house. I use mine to set a morning on timer and evening off timer for my snakes terrarium lights. Ive used other mechanical timers in the past but they all wind up faulty and blow out my bulbs but this one actually works down to the minute and is completely controlled from my phone. Couldn't be better. Keep up the good work PowerBear!

Love these, set up is as simple as can be. They work every single time. I cant imagine why someone would spend 30$ on a single plus when you can get one of these babies for 8. They literally do the same exact thing. I now have about 9 of these and looking for more ways to use them!
