Superbaking Sourdough Banneton Bread Proofing Basket, 9" Round & 10" Oval

This was a gift for a friend who is baking her own bread. Everything they would need was included in this package. It was a perfect option.

If you want authentic sourdough, this starter is going to help you. You have to buy the ingredients but this starter kit has everything to help you make tasty sourdough. It seemed complicated at first but as it went on, it was a lot easier then I thought. The size was the bread was big, for one person all this bread would take me like a week to finish. Absolutely love it.

Love this. Definitely has some extra items I don’t use but overall it’s great. I only used it once but my sourdough turned out amazing😀

So far I am loving this set! I’ve only made one loaf so far but everything already seems to be better quality and more sturdy than my previous set. It’s a great place to start for a beginner. My previous banneton became misshapen and I’m hoping this won’t!

Cons • Splinters: Some small splinters on the basket edge, though they didn’t affect my bread because I use the liner. • Staining handle: The wooden handle of the dough scraper bled color onto the liner, leaving a reddish mark that didn’t wash out easily. • Lame not very sharp: The scoring blade struggled to make clean cuts. • Soft brush unclear in purpose: The included brush was too soft to clean the basket effectively, especially when dough stuck to it. • Cleaning challenge: Because you shouldn’t wash rattan, removing stuck dough is tricky—the brush didn’t help much. In Sum A thoughtfully designed kit for beginners—especially the banneton, which shapes and proofs dough beautifully. The natural materials and included tools make it feel like a real baker’s set, though a few accessories (brush, lame, scraper handle) could use better quality control. Despite minor issues, it’s a solid and functional starter kit I’ll keep using.

These were perfectly for my sister sourdough bread dough. They’re absolutely beautiful very happy with them.

Not only are there a lot of items in this package, but they are of the highest quality, down to the razor blades individually wrapped in mini envelopes in a leather pouch. Just love this, I will definitely be gifting this for certain! I bought the burgundy and love it. I can’t wait to get started!
