This was a great kit to get started. Good quality and well done instructions.

I like this kit. It has a large bottle, spatula, bread scraper, rubber bandther, mometer and a muslin cover. The muslin is sewn way too tight to fit on the jar. I wrote to the company and asked them to send me one that fit. They ignored my email. Thats why I gave them a 3. I am disappointed. It is a cheap item and weighs nothing to shio but it lets your sour dough breathe so it is a good item to have. So after posting this review they responded with a very nice letter. They apologized and offered me a full refund. They also let me know they are looking into other jar covers to make sure this was a one time incident.

I like everything that came with it. The jar was cut off center so if it breaks I can use an actual mason jar now that I can see the scale on the side. The cloth fits, fit those that don't I suggest getting it wet to stretch because it's just muslin fabric. If your jar smells it's because the rubber band was stored inside. One washed is gone. Everything was as it should be.

First off the entire packaged reeked of some weird chemical smell, and the cheese cloth thing they sent doesn’t even fit over the jar they provide 🙄🙄🙄 see video for reference. I’d send it back but other than those two issues, it’s a good starter kit with easy directions.

Sourdough starter kit arrived earlier than expected and box was in good condition. The cloth that goes over the jar mouth did not fit, so I took it apart and cut the elastic. Other than that everything else was great.

Love the large mason jar and the elastic band day marker.Comes with instructions on how to start sourdough. The spatula is a little flimsy, but helpful to get in the corners to help mix up your dough. I didn’t find the thermometer sticker very helpful as it seemed to not be very accurate and ends up unsticking when you wash the jar. Great gift idea too. I’d give this to someone along with some starter as a great holiday gift idea.
