Collection Men's Watch MRW-200H

I recently bought the Casio MRW-200H-7EV. This model has a white dial with luminous green hands and markings, which is clear and uncluttered, making it very easy to see the time. (See images.) It keeps accurate time (as would be expected of a quartz watch) and also shows the day of the week and date.However, there are a few things to note:- My wrists are slim (approx. 6.5in/16.5cm) and although there are plenty of holes in the strap to fit both larger and even slimmer wrists, I find that no matter how I adjust the strap, either the watch casing or strap ends up pressing against the wrist bone, which gets a bit uncomfortable after a while. (I don't have this problem with my other watches, even ones that are metal and heavier.) However, this is probably because the watch is perhaps a bit too large for my wrist, so I'm not going to deduct stars.- Although the hands and markings are luminous, it's not really possible to read the time in the dark as they don't glow for very long, hence my rating of 4.5 - it's a bit annoying but not a big deal.- The front 'glass' is acrylic (plastic/Perspex), so I imagine it may be easily scratched. However, the use of real scratchproof glass cannot be expected for such an inexpensive watch.- When I received this watch, the battery was already dead. However, the supplied instructions state that test batteries are installed during manufacture and may not last as long as the expected battery life of a new battery (approx. 3 years). The dead battery may simply be due to the watch having been sitting in a warehouse for a long time, not because there's any fault with the watch itself. And since installing a new battery (SR626SW/377) the watch has been working fine.- Though some reviewers have commented that the day of the week is not displayed in English, I believe all that's needed is to set the day correctly outside of the period 9pm to 5am, as per the supplied instructions. The model I received shows the day of the week in either English or Spanish, though it has been consistently showing the day only in English since I set it correctly.In summary this is a great watch considering its low price, though perhaps its size is a bit too large for slim wrists.

Bought over 2 years ago. Broke the strap during heavy lifting a year back, replaced it with a metal one. Battery died last week, will replace that today.The Watch is really well built, tough exterior, scratch resistant and durable. The dial is a bit stiff now and once I had problems with the date changing at noon and not midnight but not often. The 31 day calender will need manual adjustment on months less than.The time's always right, never had to adjust it. Even in the dark you can read the time at the right angle The hands do glow but barely for an hour or so.Free from digitally plagued issues. Always. Does what it's suppose to.Ricky.

Arrived on time, well packaged. Item is as described and decent quality for the price. Not what I would call a "premium" watch but quite stylish nonetheless, and will do what I need (will use for cycling, canoeing etc). Happy with the item for the price I paid.

Believe the reviews on this watch. I have six other watches that were considerably more expensive than this, but I find myself wearing it more than those others. Yes, it feels light and a little plastic, but it's comfortable and easy to read, and I don't need to worry about it getting scratched or banged. On a night out, I'll choose one of my collection, but day-in, day-out, I find myself putting this one on. What more can I say?

Great watch, clear face (black with white numbers) and keeps accurate time. I particularly like the rotating bezel, which makes it easier to time my swims etc. The only thing I don't like is the way you change the date - it is very fiddly to do without altering the day as well and I usually end up getting my partner to do it. I would prefer it if there was only a number to indicate the date and no day of the week, which seems unnecessary to me.

this will a quick review, it's a cheap Casio, it tells the time, day and date, the time very legible, the date and day are reasonably legible.it's a good everyday beater watch for round the garden etc and whilst not intended to be a G shock replacement, it's fairly tough and being honest it's cheap enough to throw away if broken. one area it is better than a G shock though is the simplicity of the face and that mix of blue numbers and white hands on a simple black background is what makes it easy to read, in daylight at least, some form of night time illumination would have been nice. a pleasant surprise was the bezel is actually functional and whilst obviously not a divers watch, the ability to set it to keep track of how long something has taken is useful. the day / date are a bit small but ok. you could change the strap but the pins are a bit tight to the case and you'd need a farily thin strap, plus the standard one suits it and anything else would probably spoil it.being honest i said it's a beater watch that can the thrown away but i would be upset if i had to as i love it's relative simplicity, legibility and functionality and sometimes just wear if because i want to even though i should be wearing a more expensive watch

I wish I'd read all the earlier reviews. I followed the instructions in setting day and date. To set the date, you pull out the knob to the first click and turn anti-clockwise. Fine. To set day you turn knob clockwise. Nothing happens. I tried for ages. I then pulled out the knob fully and on turning the hands to set the time I noticed the day and date changing. This led me to try rotating the hands through the full range twice (emulating a day) and the day/date changed again.With a lot of messing about I managed to get the day and date aligned to match the previous Sunday (don't ask how, it was more by luck than judgement) I then rotated it laboriously through 6 complete revolutions to arrive at the current day (Tuesday) The date also followed the correct sequence.As it was 11.25 a.m. when was doing this, I set the time and at the end of the day the day and date moved on as they should.Had it been p.m, I guessed I'd have to have added a complete 12 hour rotation before moving on to the correct time setting. So basically Nul Points as they say on Eurovision as the instructions don't bare any relation to the actuality.And here's the big issue (if you are English). The days are there in both English and French but no matter how hard I try, only the French version comes up. Good job I did French at school, even if it was over 40 years ago. I think it's some sort of dastardly EU plot. Mind you ithe day/date bit is so small anyway, I can't read it without my specs. However, the watch itself is fine and a nice large dial, and should stand up well to the standard Cumbrian summer (rain). I would havesent it back, but it was so cheap I couldn't be bothered.Probably the manufacturer relies on this otherwise they'd probably go bust with this one.

Bis jetzt sehr zufrieden!Wie gewohnt sehr schnell und gut verpackt geliefert. Und für mich das Wichtigste: Das Armband ist lang genug. Ich habe starke Handgelenke, bei den meisten Uhren ist das Armband zu kurz. Gesamtlänge: 26 cm. 2,5cm Überstand bis zum ersten Loch, also ca. 22 cm Handgelenksumfang dürfen es sein. Schließe und Dorn sind aus Plastik, sollte aber keinen Einfluss auf die Lebensdauer haben, solange keine großen Zugkräfte aufs Armband einwirken. Der Überstand ist durch Schlaufe gesichert.Die Stege am Gehäuse scheinen herkömmlich aus Metall zu sein, sind aber nicht von außen einzudrücken. Die Bandbreite am Gehäuse habe ich mit 17 mm gemessen (Lineal, möglicherweise 18 mm). Aufgrund der Oberflächenstruktur von Gehäuse und Band sollte ein Sauberhalten auch bei dauernder Trageweise kein Problem sein.Geprüft auf 10bar Druckdichtigkeit. Das sollte (lt. Angaben) auch fürs Schwimmbad reichen, gerade bei Casio.Kleiner Wermutstropfen: das Gehäuse könnte flacher sein, aber das wirklich nur am Rande, es stört nicht.Zifferblatt und Anzeige kontrastieren stark, also gut ablesbar, selbst aus flachen Winkeln.Tages- und Datumanzeiger (engl./franz.) interessieren mich nicht.Eine Beleuchtung gibt es nicht.Das (Plastik-)Glas ist völlig plan; soweit ich erkenne, den Bruchteil eines Millimeters tiefversetzt, das heißt, die links-rechts verstellbare, nicht rastende Lünette, der Drehring, ist minimal erhöht, bildet aber wohl kaum einen gewissen Kratzschutz fürs Glas.Der Boden ist aus Edelstahl, eingestanzte Daten, und in den Ecken verschraubt. Dort findet sich auch die Modulnummer.Das Material des Armbands (Resin-Kunstharz) trägt sich angenehm und relativ weich. Es altert gemütlich nach ein paar Jahren, je nach Beanspruchung.Die Uhr ist leicht, schlenkert also nicht hin und her, sie ist kaum spürbar.Im Normalbetrieb ist die Uhr nicht zu hören.Natürlich gibt es noch billigere Uhren aus Fernost, aber Casio hat nun mal einen guten Ruf bei elektronischen Uhren, den ich mir durchaus ein paar Euros mehr kosten lasse. Wenn sie solange hält wie die Vorgängerin Timex (bei der nur das Armband gerissen ist), bin ich sehr zufrieden. Ob sie genau anzeigt und ob sie wirklich so wasserdicht, das heißt "schwimmfest" ist, weiß ich noch nicht, werde ich aber evtl. nachtragen.Interessant auch: gedruckte Bedienungsanleitung in vielen Sprachen. Allerdings nur mit Lupe lesbar... Die Batterie vom Typ 377 bzw. SR636SW soll 3 Jahre halten. Bin gespannt. Casio weißt daraufhin, dass die Lebensdauer kürzer sein kann, beeinflusst durch Lagerdauer, Test, Einstellungen, etc..Würde ich sofort wiederkaufen und empfehle sie bedingungslos weiter, wenn man auf Schnickschnack verzichten kann.

Rien à redire, Casio mérite sa réputation, montre peu chère et de bonne qualité, précise, étanche, style sympa pour l'été, voilà ! Je conseille ce modèle qui se voit bien la nuit (mieux que ttes les autres), bonne taille au poignet 43 mm bonne lisibilité des aiguilles jour/nuit, bracelet souple et agréable au poignet ( très légère ) ...seul bémol, le verre en polycarbonate qui peut se rayer facilement.....

Por el precio q tiene no se me ocurre mejor reloj. Es ligero y tiene pinta de resistente, llevo poco con el. Lo pille para trabajar (trabajo como mozo de almacén en carga aérea) y oye a la primera semana ha resistido. Única pega que le encuentro es ajustar el día de la semana, es complicado si nunca lo has hecho. Si giras en sentido de las agujas del reloj cambias entre español o inglés y para cambiar el día deberías adelantar la hora hasta el día q quieres. Por el resto esta muy bien.La caja es de plástico igual q la correa, el bisel y el cristal, pero por 30€ no vamos a ponernos esquisitos.Sinceramente si estás pensando en pillarte este reloj te diría q lo hicieras sin darle muchas vueltas, dudo q dure muchos años si le das un uso rudo. Pero tampoco se va a morir en la primera caída, y si te dura un par de años ya está más q amortizado.Si crees q no le vas a dar mucha tralla quizá te dura toda la vida
