I LOVE this piece! It’s beautiful as well as carefully designed. I like how snuggly the lid fits and the bumps on the lid that will drip liquid equally back on a dish. I like the black coating that won’t show scratches like every other white coated pot. It’s so sturdy but not ridiculously heavy, and the size works great for me. So far it has cleaned up easily and performs well in terms of heat distribution. The color is one of my favorite shades and I feel like Dutch ovens similar to this are generally twice the price or more.

I frequently cook using a Dutch oven, but the porcelain in my favorite-sized expensive brand of Dutch oven was wearing through to the cast iron, so I purchased the Our Place Cast Iron Perfect Pot as a replacement. The Our Place pot is the same size as my expensive Dutch oven-pot, but it weighs a few more pounds than my older pot. It seems as though the lid on the Our Pot is heavier and a bit thicker than my original Dutch oven. The lid has the same little "bumps" as my expensive pot (so that condensed liquid will fall back into the pot as it cools on the lid). I've used the Our Place pot several times, and it is easy to clean up and cooks just as well as my older, more-expensive pot. The only difference between the two pots (other than price and color) is that Our Pot must be hand washed whereas my more expensive pot could be put into the dishwasher. But, the cost savings is worth hand-washing! Our Pot is less than 40% of the original cost of my older, more expensive Dutch oven. The weight of the Our Pot with its lid might be a deal-breaker for some people, but I've taken to just keeping the Our Pot on top of the stove so that I don't have to struggle to get it in and out of the cupboard. Be sure to season the Our Pot with a little oil for a bit before putting in the food each time you use the pot, and it will be easy to clean. The silicone mitts that come with the pot are fine, but I prefer to use my favorite potholders. I recommend buying the Our Pot grate that fits inside the Our Pot if you will be cooking roasts and other meats that you want to raise up off of their juices; it works well (and still makes the Our Pot less expensive than its luxury competition).

This is love at first sight. This pot is amazing for rice, cereals, soups, etc. Gives an interesting flavor. It’s a bit heavy but its make to last. The lid seals perfectly and given the fact that is heavy it will keep the heat perfectly. Color is as in picture. Really good value for the money.

i bought this dutch oven as an upgrade and to use for baking my sourdough bread. it’s great quality and cleans easily. very heavy duty, love the sand color.

I've spent money more than once trying to find the perfect Dutch oven. Our Place has delivered. I could feel the quality as soon as I unboxed it. It cooks evenly without scorching my sauces and the cleanup is a 10+. While it is a bit expensive, I'm convinced this piece will last me for the long haul. A great investment. I'd do it again!
