The glowing friend is definitely what sells this set. The story is okay, but it seems to lack a bit for me. The pictures are cute and there are a couple good messages in it at least. The book is not very durable. It has a thin binding that I don't think is going to last long around little kids. This is the type of book that we usually have pages falling out of pretty quickly. However, it is really nice that it is accompanied with a friend from the story that you can hold and play with. The bookworm is very cute and the light is a really good glow. You give it a little squeeze to turn off and on, but it can be a little difficult to do. If your child is very young they will probably need some help there. You can squeeze it once for a strong glow and if you squeeze it again it has a more faint glow. One more squeeze turns it back off. The texture and size of the glow worm is great for young children. This would make a cute gift for a young child and I think it would be fun to collect a set of all the friends.

This Storytime with Bookworm is just so darn cute. The glowing toy along with the book will keep attention of young kids. Have them make it glow and turn the pages as you read the story. This is a little smaller than I expected but for a young child or grandchild it would be a good choice. Great little set. The Storytime with Wigglehop is so cute as well. Any young child will love these. And the adults should feel good about helping them learn some ways to cope with things. Thanks Playskool!

Got this for my granddaughter and she the toy and the story too. She wants to hear the story again and again. It takes a little effort to squeeze the Glo Bug to get it to light up, so depending on how young your child is you may need to squeeze it for them so they see it light up. Playskool has been making these since I was a child and it’s nice to see a whole new generation enjoying them all over again.

My son enjoys the book and really likes the little bug that glows. Unfortunately it's a little too difficult for him to squeeze himself because he lacks the hand strength. But he happily hands it to me to do for him. Cute toy.
