If the direction is set wrong (e.g. using installation direction when removing), turning the wrench will actually loosen the jaws instead of tightening them, causing it to slip and fail to clamp the filter. To set correctly: Open to max diameter, then turn counterclockwise past the center until it locks (for removal) or clockwise past the center until it locks (for installation). Once set right, it grips firmly without slipping - Application: Spurtar oil filter wrench removes small and medium-sized spin-on oil filters, from 2-3/8 to 3-1/8 inches (60mm-80mm) in diameter. Use a 1/2'' Sq. drive ratchet wrench (not included). Warm Tips: Recommend installing the new oil filter by hand only (Once the gasket on the filter contacts the engine surface, tighten it an additional 3/4 to 1 full turn by hand) - Universal: Spurtar oil filter wrench set is designed for various oil filter sizes of different brands, and is compatible with BMW, Audi, Golf, Mann, etc. Versatile for vehicle maintenance, repairs in workshops and garages - Update Design: Spring-loaded design enables even pressure distribution and ensures gentle filter removal. Self-lock grip oil filter without falling while removing - Safe and Reliable: The spring-loaded design mechanism of the oil filter wrench with serrated holder helps for a secure grip on the car oil filter, and allows for efficient oil filter removal - Sturdy Construction: Crafted from heat-treated carbon steel ensures durability, corrosion resistance, and long-lasting performance; Spurtar Oil Filter Tool is designed for professionals and DIY enthusiasts alike ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0CGWRQH2K | | Best Sellers Rank | #14,885 in Automotive ( See Top 100 in Automotive ) #47 in Oil Filter Wrenches | | Brand Name | Spurtar | | Color | Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars (1,076) | | Finish Types | Oxidized | | Head Style | Fixed Square | | Included Components | 1x Adjustable Oil Filter Wrench | | Item Highlight | Oil Filter Removal Tool 1/2'' Drive Cap Style Oil Filter Tool Fits Small Medium-sized Spin-on Oil Filters UTV JetSkis | | Item Length | 3.13 inches | | Item Torque | 120 N m | | Item Type Name | Adjustable Oil Filter Wrench | | Item Weight | 470 g | | Jaw Capacity | 3.13 inches | | Manufacturer | Spurtar | | Manufacturer Part Number | TFW30712 | | Material Type | Carbon Steel | | Model Number | TFW30712 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Operation Mode | Manual | | Package Quantity | 1 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Spurtar - **Color:** Black - **Item Length:** 3.13 inches - **Item Weight:** 470 g - **Material:** Carbon Steel ## Images ![Adjustable Oil Filter Wrench 2-3/8 to 3-1/8 inch 60-80mm - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71Xp1lPPAgL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Frequently Bought Together - Spurtar Adjustable Oil Filter Wrench 2-3/8 to 3-1/8 inch 60-80mm Universal Oil Filter Removal Tool 1/2'' Drive Cap Style Oil Filter Tool Perfect Fits Small Medium-sized Spin-on Oil Filters UTV JetSkis - NEIKO 20762A Oil Drain Pan | Black Plastic Anti Splash | Motor Oil Drip Catcher Pan | 2 Gallon (8L) Capacity - WORKPRO 12" Adjustable Oil Filter Pliers, Wrench Adjustable Oil Filter Removal Tool, Ideal For Engine Filters, Conduit, & Fittings, W114083A --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/579524001-adjustable-oil-filter-wrench-2-3-8-to-3-1](https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/579524001-adjustable-oil-filter-wrench-2-3-8-to-3-1) --- *Product available on Desertcart Panama* *Store origin: PA* *Last updated: 2026-11-01*
