Saw one of these on instagram and immediately wanted one. Honestly, the instructions were NOT helpful. It came with a lot of stuff and as a beginner I really am not 100% sure what they all are. I'm pretty sure it came with 2 different types of punch needles? The purple & the blue; I don't really understand the difference. I was able to thread the needle! The instructions for that made sense. Youtube videos make it seem really easy, but in practice it's a bit harder to use. I would have preferred a more in depth booklet of instructions.

So I just started to embroider and I have seen the pens, so I just had to try. The pen with the adjuster was broken and was complicated to use. But it came with another just a pen and that was so easy to use once I watched some you tube videos. I am not hooked!!! Has a lot of thread but not a whole lot of one color, which I do not mind. Since I am just playing around with the colors and figuring out the pen.

From the five star reviews it seems only one or two have actually attempted to use the pen. Most just seem impressed with the kit and all the thread. The two most accurate reviews were the one star reviews from people who actually attempted this monstrosity. I, too watched countless YouTube videos with little success. First of all, the pen is not mechanized in ANY way. It does not secure the thread the way a sewing machine does and you have to leave loops on the underside...and you better hope your pen is feeding the thread correctly or that you don't pull up 1/4" too high bc all of your previous work will unravel and come out of the fabric. The smallest needle does not accommodate the size thread that comes with the kit. It's to large to feed through the pen. And moreover, if you are successful, the back of the fabric is a loopy nightmare and a TON of wasted thread. I would NOT buy this again and will warn people against it. The only reason I haven't returned it is bc the amount and quality of thread is pretty excellent for the price.

It was great and very complete. But in the first use I have a problem with the magic needle. Too bad and I am in Costa Rica so I can't return it.

I never got all of my product when I ordered this a while ago I did however get a refund which was great. I will look into buying this again since the thread is great. It was a third party but the pricing for these items at the time was decent. Only 2 stars bc I was missing a lot of the product. Shipping and all was good.

What a piece of junk! It is not a magic embroidery pen, but a cheaply made punch needle type of object. Skip this purchase, no matter how you look at it, it is junk that will break before you even begin to understand the product.

Works as described, but there is nothing keeping the thread from just coming out. Tricky, but works as described.
