What is the purpose of the bulge on the back side of the holster?

Can you be more specific, like location on the holster, and what you mean by backside. Mine has no bulges on it. It is pretty smooth and simply fits the contour of the gun.

Is this holster compatible with the Cz pcr?

No, the 1913 rail on the p01 dust cover is different than the dust cover of the pcr. This doesn't allow the rydex of the holster to be molded properly for good retention. The pcr and compact are alike.

Will this work on the Cz P-01 Compact model?

The CZ P-01 is the same as the CZ-75 D compact. They will both fit this holster
