Having finally embraced gardening several years after having a yard to care for, I’ve quickly fallen in love with this splurge birthday purchase: this retractable Hoselink hose is not only very high quality (eg the hose tubing is thick and doesn’t kink easily and the hose nozzle just feels high quality and water doesn’t drip… etc, I could go on). And did I mention that it is SO easy to retract by just tugging a little and then it recoils back into place (just like their ad shows!)Is this hose a necessity? Of course not. But when you’re watering your plants daily (or close to it) and want to save a little time and energy getting the job done with a reliable hose that won’t kink or break (fingers crossed!), this hose is a no brainer. It also took my husband 5 minutes to install the hose into our home’s wood siding using the provided screws and our power drill so no issues there.BOTTOM LINE: highly recommended top quality hose.

The wind up feature is the best

Sturdily built, rather heavy getting it in place, a challenge pulling it out to use - rather strong spring wanting to keep it rolled up, once locked out it works like a very well made piece of equipment. Rolling it back in, follow the manufacture's recommendation to control the recoil. Then close the hole the hose comes out, it is very inviting to birds looking for a home. Just a crumpled up plastic grocery bag works well, but cleaning out a house sparrow's gatherings are a challenge, no access door to aid cleaning, just pull the twigs and things back out of the hole the next time you pull the hose out. We'll see how it holds up next season. May be a little pricy if only good for one or two years, too early to tell just yet.
