Could this be used on end grain of pressure treated wood for decking?

Yes this can be used, however most people use our anchorseal hybrid on decking projects.

It contains wax. Most paints will not adhere to freshly applied Anchorseal. This product is for the ends of freshly cut lumber and logs to reduce cracking while the lumber dries out.

will this work on bark ? I have a slice cut out the base of a tree ?

No that is something Different you need try calling your local tree service or Arborist

Is it safe to use wood burning pen on wood treated with Anchorseal?

I am no expert but I do lots of woodwork. This therefore is only my opinion. In most cases the wood that has been treated with Anchor Seal was still in it's natural state and shape, think log or limb. It is a wood grain "end" sealer to help slow the drying process there by preventing checking, AKA cracking of the wood at the end of the grain. However, when the wood is used, it will have been dried, reshaped, sawed, sanded, painted, etc, etc. Given this, I seriously doubt that there will be any Anchor Seal left on the finished wood product even if it is lumber, especially given that Anchor Seal is a surface treatment and does not really penetrate into the wood. It may find a crack here and there and wick into it but most likely the cracked section will not be used anyway. It is an easier way to coat then end of a log with wax then picking the log up and dipping it in a wax pot. The wax is eventually removed from the log through processing it into a product.

Cracking

Applied the sealer in the heat as weather so hot. The timber was freshly cut that day. Expected to see a few cracks appearing due such hot weather but so far none. Left one piece of timber without using sealer and wood totally unusable due to cracking. So pleased l found this product
