Wouldn’t buy again. Tough, but lens a bit disappointing.It’s the second magnifier of this brand I tried, and I will be looking elsewhere.

Gets stuck when operating the spring-loaded opening mechanism and needs to be pulled out manually. If not enough, the battery case lid also comes off easily. The lens is greath though with absolutely no edge distortion.

The viewing window is very small and as a consequence the lens needs to be held very close to the object being viewed. The LED light isn't very bright, so has limited use. The LED light switch is flakey at best; sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.It's fair to say I wouldn't have bought if I'd been able to see it beforehand and most definitely would NOT recommend it to ther potential buyers. I won't be able to send it back because I've opened the packaging, but wish I could.

Absolute rubbish !!! First of all you have to put your eye close up to glass and close to object you want to see and then you have to put 3 batteries in just for a tiny light! Don't waste your money Don't buy !!! Never had this trouble with other magnifiers!!!

I use this handy little things all the time working with many people of all demographics and most of the time they ask me where I got this neat little light. The Out The Front design catches people off guard and it's very versatile. It has a switch on the side of the lense so you can manually keep the light off to keep it from turning on if it open in your pocket. It's thin enough to keep in a back pocket all day without noticing and it's non-deforming atmospheric lense is the stealer of the show. Its super helpful just having this on my personal tool kit, it's helped save my eyes from straining to read horribly shrunken text, and everyone I've recommended to get one tells me they use it for similar needs. Price is phenomenal for the quality, I've had one for about a year before I thought I lost it, bought another, and found the missing brother :) not even the slightest bit upset. I would recommend this to anyone, for anything really, the quality of the lense is great. For cannabis agricultural observation it has served its purpose beautifully. Thank you Carson Team!- to those having issue with the spring, a little multiple purpose synthetic lubricant on the plastic sliders located to the sides of the open battery compartment help mine slide much smoother. As well as the first time out of the box it sticks a little bit, but the more you play with it it'll loosen up and "pop out and lock out" the way it's intended. If the batteries aren't 100% flush in the compartment it will also stick, to fix this just roll your finger over the batteries while pushing them down into place, this will ensure they're seated properly and won't cause friction.
