Clairol Root Touch-Up Permanent Hair Dye, 6A Light Ash Brown

Have purchased this item several times so know what it should look and smell like. However, this time, as the colour creme squeezed out, it was several different colours from white to green to brown. The smell is eye wateringly strong - had to open a window. It is gritty and won’t mix properly and is now bubbling. Advised this isn’t a returnable item (even though clearly faulty) so writing review to warn against purchasing it. Can’t imaging what this would do if I put it near my head! Stay away!

Since the start of Covid-19 I have used Clairol Nice and easy, I initially used a box of Full Head Light Ash Brown to cover the grey, it worked well. But the Touch Up, of the same colour just didn't work, I don't know whether this pack was "out of date" but it certainly didn't match the full colour, I don't have thick hair which is cut (a home job) just below my ears, but there just wasn't enough product to carry out a touch up to the roots..

I have shoulder length hair and not thick and it wasn’t enough to cover all my roots, I only had like for half of my head. It’s a quarter (if) of a normal hair dye! Definitely not worth the money!!! The only good thing about it is the brush! I will never buy again

Didn’t last long at all. Weird colour and your don’t get a lot of product at all.

I have been using this for years ,with normally good results, but I think they must have changed the formula, as it doesn't cover grey anymore. very disappointing.

Just went to use this and on opening the colour was already open. Will not use as not sure how long it's been open.

I actually use L’Oréal Infinia Palma, but this is a great shade that beautifully blends in both with my natural hair and coloured hair. Very easy to apply. The brush is awesome and gets into every nook and cranny. Smell is horrible as is with any permanent dye.

what is it with all these browns turning orange ?? seriously ! not all of us want to look tango !! this is indeed a touch up, and there certainly isnt enough in the bottle to do a whole head . It does however touch up to THE CORRECT COLOUR and isnt orange. !! ( yay) it is fairly dark so do bare this in mind if you are looking for a lighter brown ... Ive given it 4 stars because after 4 weeks it started to fade a little and my grey hairs that it originally coloured are beginning to show. So yes, nice colour, and id say it works TEMPORARILY, not long term perm !!

Ich habe das Root Touch-Up gekauft, um eine kleine Stelle mit weißen Haaren am Ansatz gezielt zu färben, ohne direkt die ganze Haarfarbe anzumischen – und genau dafür ist es perfekt. Die Farbe lässt sich sehr präzise und sparsam anmischen, sodass man wirklich nur die Menge verwendet, die man braucht. Das Ergebnis wirkt natürlich und weich, nicht blockig oder „aufgemalt“. Weiße Haare werden deutlich abgedeckt, ohne dass der Ansatz hart oder künstlich aussieht. Besonders positiv: • ideal für punktuelles Nachfärben • sparsam im Verbrauch (reicht für viele Anwendungen) • natürliches Ergebnis, auch bei feinem Haar • kein sichtbarer Übergang zum restlichen Haar Einzelne sehr feine Haare können je nach Auftrag minimal heller bleiben, was ich persönlich sogar als Vorteil empfinde, da das Ergebnis dadurch realistisch und nicht maskenhaft wirkt. Ich habe Vorher-/Nachher-Fotos hochgeladen – der Unterschied ist klar zu sehen. Für alle, die nicht ständig komplett färben wollen, sondern gezielt und kontrolliert nachbessern möchten, absolut empfehlenswert.
