Buy these here! Less expensive than Home Depot and Lowe’s Home Improvement. We bought many boxes of these to screw in our 350’ of picket fence we built ourselves! When you use that many screws, you need to find the least expensive. This worked for us.

We purchased the Deck Plus Wood Screws #8, 1 5/8" long for three purposes. . . one, to build base cabinets for our remodeled kitchen of our new, older home, two - to affix new kitchen floor panels where the kitchen floor was replaced, and three - to revitalize our exterior wood platform. The length was appropriate for the 3/4" plywood panels that did not require pocket screws as the walls where the screws hold together the panels are not visible. Additionally, the screw's feature of "self drilling" was a time saver; another "plus" for us is that being "exterior grade" the screws will surely outlast the panels in a humid kitchen environment. The platform planks outside our bedroom were "loose" as the screws used to assemble the steps were not "exterior grade" and corroding. After a few hours of "finagling" we were able to pull them out and replace them with these Deck Plus Wood Screws saving us from replacing the entire assembly. The boards we had to replace were secured with these screws that made swift work of the task. We recommend these wood screws because they can be used around the house for just about anything with no need for pilot holes or in areas where the wood may split - with a pilot hole. Highly recommended!

These are a little lighter diameter than some I have but that is good for many applications. They are much less apt to tearout when driving screws next to edges or ends etc. Perfect for smaller pieces of wood. They all worked good and none had to be discarded. Not they would not hold for just about any application I am a chronic overbuilder so big pieces of wood I like meaty screws. Those screws are considerably more expensive and I don't have very many applications for them so I these are my go to screws most of the time. Good screws, good coating, good price and nice container.

These screws work great. We have 5/8-inch fence pickets and using these screws no movement at all.

These screws give a good bite when screwing into treated lumber. The screws seat well and seem to have a good finish coat of paint on them. I found that about 3 to 5 of the screws in the box are defective, and that is not awful at all. Quite remarkable if you ask me. The screws are higher in price but I see that everything has gone up in the past few years. I'm using these to reinstall a fence on my property and will go through about 8,000 in all. So far I'm very pleased with the outcome.
