Number 1 tip is put the claw as far in as possible (as little space as possible at the pivot point). Apply pressure slowly. It will take some effort especially on the larger/thicker claws. There is a thin line between cracking open the shell and shattering it along with some of the meat. Took a few claws to get the correct technique down. After that great.
