PNY Elite-X 256GB microSDXC

MicroSD cards are one of those components where going cheap has a way of costing you more in the long run, either through data loss, slow transfer speeds that bottleneck your workflow, or cards that fail prematurely under write intensive use like continuous recording. The PNY 64GB Elite-X Class 10 U3 V30 microSDXC 3 pack hit the right balance of specs, reliability, and price for my use case and I have been running these cards across multiple devices without any performance or reliability issues. The spec sheet on these cards is worth unpacking because the rating system for microSD cards can be confusing. Class 10 indicates a minimum write speed of 10MB per second, U3 indicates a minimum sequential write speed of 30MB per second for UHS applications, and V30 is the video speed class rating that also ensures a minimum 30MB per second sustained write performance during video recording. That V30 rating is the critical one for anyone planning to record 4K video because 4K footage generates sustained write demands that slower cards simply cannot keep up with. Dropped frames, recording interruptions, and corrupt video files are the failure modes you get with underspecified cards in demanding recording applications. I deployed these cards in a mix of applications including a dash cam running continuous recording cycles, a security camera that writes consistently over extended periods, and a tablet as expanded storage for media and app data. All three use cases have run without interruption and the cards have not generated any error messages or performance warnings across weeks of continuous operation. Transfer speeds when moving files to a computer via a USB 3 card reader are fast enough to handle batch transfers of large video files without becoming a bottleneck in the workflow. Reading through hundreds of photos or moving multi gigabyte video files completes in reasonable time and the rated 100MB per second read speed translates into real world performance that matches the specification. The 3 pack format is the most practical way to buy these for anyone who needs cards for multiple devices. Having three matched cards means you know the performance characteristics are consistent across all three and you have a spare ready if one card needs to be replaced or is in use for file transfer. Buying one card at a time for multiple devices adds up quickly and the 3 pack pricing represents meaningful savings. For high capacity, high speed microSD storage at a price point that makes it practical to equip multiple devices simultaneously, the PNY 64GB Elite-X 3 pack delivers exactly what the specifications promise and the reliability over extended use has been solid. These cards are performing exactly as expected across demanding continuous recording and general storage applications.

You really can't beat the price for a 2-pack of 128GB cards. They arrived well-packaged and protected, which is always a relief with tiny microSD cards. I’ve been using them for a bit now, and so far, they work just as good as any of the more expensive brand-name SD cards out there. The read and write speeds are perfectly fine for 4K video and quick file transfers. If you need reliable extra storage without spending a fortune, this set is perfect.

The microSD cards arrived in perfect condition, and they work great—one is for an Orange Pi 5 PLUS and the other is for storing 60 GB of high-resolution music from my smartphone. They work perfectly.

I have been using them for continuous security camera recording and 1 of 3 went bad. It was on read only mode so I was able to recover most of the data with special recovery software, but about 300 files were corrupted. Pretty good since I had about 13,000 files on this. After the recovery I tried to use it again. I did a quick format and then wrote data to it and it locked up. I tried reformating it and the sd card died. Tried to reformat and got an error message. I put the photos up to shoe that it did lock up. Either way, I got most of my data back through special recovery software and the 3 pack cost value is good. I might order again depending if the next two last the rest of the year or I might try PNYs higher tier line. For reference the 64gb sd card that died only lasted 6 months. The other two, 8 month runtime, 64gb sd cards are still running perfect in my security cameras.

Memory worked perfectly out of the package. These micro SD cards were used in several security cameras. Video performance was very good. There was no lag in the video and all motion was very smooth. I would definitely recommend these micro SD cards for use in security cameras.

These PNY 64GB cards have worked exactly as expected. They were recognized immediately by my devices, have plenty of storage, and the read/write performance has been reliable. Great option for cameras and other devices that need dependable storage. I would definitely buy these again.

Got this for my tablet. It works well enough, but the transfer rate seems much slower than it should be ... around 10mbs as opposed to around 20mbs for internal storage or my old 128mb card.

using these for my security cams , the work great so far

Not much to say about this except that it has given no problems yet. I've been running a few of these in 4K cameras to act as a DVR cache, and a few weeks in, no problems yet. If I have a problem, I'll be sure to report back.

Aucun souci, matériel reconnu, pour l'instant je l'utilise quotidiennement sans ennui particulier depuis des semaines.

Gut und sehr zufrieden

Buona
